  • wonderful video -- thanks so much for posting =)

  • We love our animals and only use our affection training methods and positive reinforcement in training. Whips are used as a cue for a behavior (by the sound and movement), and sticks are used for feeding and rewarding (we put meat on it) and used as a cue. They are extensions of our arms. Their care and happiness is of the utmost importance to us.

  • after being around and training them for so long, do you think the lions would build up a sense of protection for the trainer, if they sensed he was in danger or was about to be attacked?

  • The lions consider their trainers as part of the pride and in that regard would protect them just like they would with any member of the pride. But more importantly we would never allow any situation of that kind to happen

  • wow! nice video

    where is it?

  • Southern LA

  • AMAZING!!! i cant get over your relationship with these animals, and their affection and respect for you. you truly are a lion whisperer, ever think about getting into the movie business? or taking your show on the road?

  • they do both

  • Is this a clinic of some sort?

  • Brian, where are you from originally?!?

  • Originally the UK

  • very interest nice to see how you use positive reinforcement and food reward. The animals obviously love you very much you are very luck to be able to work with such beautiful animals

  • Awesome video, the music is REALLY annoying though, I can go the rest of my life never hearing it again :)

  • thank you, i just thought the music was appropriate, do you have another suggestion?

  • I think various traditional African songs would be a perfect fit, similar to what they do on The Big Cat Diary, an instrumental like that would work very well, humans culturally will instantly associate Lions to the African sound. If you would like I could e-mail you a few songs, I have a big collection.

  • Okay, I will look fo rsomething else if you find something let me know
