  • because of the time i grew up in, i always associated michael with diana. he loved her so much.

  • The background singing is cheesy and the arrangement muddy, a shame this could have been a great song.

  • @tedkruckel Pardon me as I understand it this video was posted by a fan, thus made from the heart with "LOVE" and therefore when viewed with that prospective in mind, any soul that's living in the "LIGHT" would hear and see a "MASTERPIECE" It is my wish that you too one day can express your heart-felt feelings about something or someone for the WORLD to enjoy. I can tell by your comments, it to will be a "MASTERPIECE"

  • You are not as bad wordsmith yourself. Great to see we share the exact same emotion when it comes to Ms D.

  • I just wanted to tell you that this is totally inspired. :)

  • I have always loved Diana, she was and is a class act. She's the type of entertainer who comes once in a lifetime. She's gorgeous and has a beautiful voice. I miss the type of music that she sang, there's nothing but trash now, and it's so sad. Miss. Ross if you read this, you're still the boss in my book.

This is one women whose voice continues to stop me in my tracks every time and any where. Forever Diiana..forever. If there exists a Poets Moon and dreams can come true...then one day we will both laugh under the poets moon.. Michael

  • @ThatCanadianPoet Wow! I feel shivers reading your words because they express my feelings completely. I remember when that voice first came on the scene, because though only a child of 5, the voice touched me. I didn't know why or how, but I knew I was touched, and in that touch, I was soothed. The voice has aged like fine wine, and you know? 45 years later when it wants to, it will intoxicate you.

  • I never for get when we met in Belize. Smile... I still am... D'Grace

  • Nice video! thank you for posting. This is great.

Good job, dedicated to such a Diva!

  • This song ROCKSSS!! ...and thanks for the great montage that actually shows some effort and thought...as opposed to the "many many many" lame videos on youtube..

  • brilliant tribute!

  • Diana Ross didn't play the role as Mahogany..in her life she was Mahogany. She's made some mistakes as we've all. Thats why I think she's wonderful. She has overcome her mistakes.

  • As a fellow Diana Ross fan, I want to thank you for taking the time to put together this wonderful tribute to Miss Ross. It is most worthy of the Diva herself!

  • This was a work of love. It was fab.

  • RIP GRANDAD, Ill Always remember you, Ill see you again some day mate, Love you , Tom. This is your song

  • Diana sums it up in her own words at the beginning of this clip, "If I were to live my life all over, I wouldn't change a thing." She has no regrets and that's a wonderful life to live...

  • All that AND Michael Jackson!!!! What a fantastic life.

  • Wow! I grew up following Diana Ross and the Supremes. I have all the vinyl from back then. This is a great video that brought back wonderful memories. Thanks so much for this!

  • WOW! all i can say

  • I think at the end of the day we don't have to deal with, oh, Diana did this and Flo said that and Mary felt this and Berry Gordy did these things and remember just this: great songs, great artists. I always felt Remember Me was one of Diana's strongest performances. It's too late to go over any of these arguments. Isn't this a great song by a wonderful entertainer?

  • I love every minute of this video, especially the up-tempo part.:)

  • Thank you everybody for your great reviews and comments. Remember, I will not tolerate hatred, cussing and ignorant comments. I've gone through and removed/blocked viewers that I felt were inflamatory. Let Florence rest in peace and stop bringing up the nonsense that Diana was trying to "upstage" Florence - even in death! Think before you write. Diana didn't need the extra attention; she was already at the top of her game. Randy T (who wrote the book) is the one who needed attention.

  • Fred,

Thanks you for refusing to tolerate the nonsense. It's most appreciated. I've always wished that this song was released at this or the Caesar's Palace 1979 tempo. I can not stop listening to it!!

    Thanks for posting.:)

  • Damn, Man...this was one hell of a video! Am not a fan of Diana Ross (though only a fool would deny her talent), but I very much enjoyed every moment of this presentation. How long did it take you to put it together? A kind of work of art!

  • Surprisingly, it only took me a few days to make this tribute. I was originally inspired by Futuro's remix of "Remember Me". I had posted two previous videos, "Supremes Medley - Tribute to Florence" and "The Boss" that were both removed because of music rights. However, this mix was somehow spared. So enjoy while you can! "The Boss" video was mostly centered on Ms. Ross' movies so for this video, I concentrated on her concerts. Once I knew what I wanted to do, magic happenned!

  • You should show it to Miss Ross herself, it seems like the beat tribute video I've seen and the song matched so perfectly with it.

  • @ FrednSF Olha Mesmo Meus parabéns ! Amei , lembrei de Tantas e Tantas Coisas da época continua ... , nao desiste VIU não? Maravilhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !

  • I couldn't agree with you more! And may I add in reference to J. Randy Taraborelli's unauthorized "tell-all" trashing Miss Ross; besides the attention he was seeking, the primary thing was money! Money-- is always the primary driving force and reason why all of those so-called authors put together one tabloid after another and get it published as a book about celebrities' lives. Besides Miss Ross, he's written infamous "tell-all's" on Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Jackson, Madonna, even...

  • Marilyn Monroe. True, he did work with the Supremes (post-Diana) for many years, but really, he did not work much with Miss Ross, or any of the other celebrities he's written biographies of. Prior to finding his niche in writing "tell-all's", he was an entertainment journalist. So, basically, his biographies are based on collections of tabloid reports/ news articles, etc. which does not hold complete credibility. Like the saying, you can't believe everything that's written...

  • then why even give credibility to what has been re-hashed and re-written, most of which is based on hearsay and tabloids-- that's Taraborrelli's style! As for Mary's book trashing Miss Ross, well, at least Mary has more credibility than Taraborrelli since she knew Diana personally, but that does not mean I agree or believe everything she said... I'm not calling Miss Wilson a liar, but to air someone's dirty laundry, be it truth or lies, is tacky! And I don't buy that crap that the book had

  • been written as part of Mary Wilson's "healing process"!!! Please, it was for the money... simple as that! And I'm sorry, Miss Wilson, that lacked class on your part!

  • @lassley yes that is true. she could not make a huge solo carreer for herself so she did the next best thing. trashed the one person who dragged her to stardom. mary should be worshipping the ground diana walks on.

  • @lassley exactly...he is a gossip monger.. apreader of fake stories to make money. he should be ashamed of himself. but i guess he is clueless and is very proud of the way he helped to destroy diana.

  • thanku so much for saying that,Ive heard MISS ROSS say that she did not know J Randy....always have and always will keep hating on Miss Ross bcuz she is all of that and then some

  • @mahoganyflame there are still many people who are making money off diana's coat tails. she is what they want to be and that equals big time jealousy.

  • maybe,at a young age Diana may have done catty shit to suceed, but we all have done bad things when we were younger, but you cant put all blame on her....Please get over it

  • Remember me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite solo song by Diana. I always told my wife to play it at my viewing, assuming I go first. lol

  • wow, this is a very moving video. Diana is so beautiful and so loves to perform.

  • Comment removed

  • If not for the fans for Florence! A Supremes World Tour is overdue! First Diana,Mary&Cindy open show! Followed by Jean,Lynda,Scherrie,Susaye together with Mary&Cindy do their 70's hits! Now, Diana and her solos! Ending, all together on "SOME DAY WE'LL BE TOGETHER Encores, book deasl, tours, records, PEASCE ON EARTH,EVERYBODY HAPPY,GO HOME! The money better be well negotiated not like the last fiasco! Without EGOS all is possible! Florence are you listening? Girl, do your magic!

  • Florence Ballard passed away back in the late 70's early 80's. Diana ross did attend the funeral.

  • Yes she did! She also set up a $10,000 a year trust fund for Florence's three daughters until they became adults! I guess that cleared he conscience! A convenient tax deduction for Ms.Ross! For someone of .Diana Ross tax bracket that amount by law yearly per person is not taxable as a gift, she save herself some money, got some good press and some photo ups!

  • At least she did "something". Are you done trashing Diana? Geez...

  • Comment removed

  • flo passed away feb. 1975 RIP .

  • @cub1955 ACTUALLY, FLORENCE Ballard passed away on February 22, 1976-

  • I read somewhere that she was booed during the funeral. Some people have some nerve.

  • @UnknownArtistX The reason for the negative reaction to the Diana Ross appearance at Florence Ballard's funeral was because everyone thought that Diana was trying to upstage Flo at her own funeral by dramatically swooning and sobbing loudly, and then getting up to interrupt while the minister was delivering her eulogy to give one of her own, along with Mary Wilson, who later confessed that she could have killed Diana for calling her up there to the stage-

  • Yeah, I've read that Miss Ross was booed by a group of haters/idiots at the funeral as if she had murdered Florence. Well, Diana didn't kill Florence, it was years and years of Florence's excessive boozing, binging, putting on weight, etc. that killed her in the end. Perhaps some will blame that because of her downfall professionally and personally, well, remember it was not diana that fired her, but berry gordy, and his decision to do so came from Florence's alcoholism and erratic behavior.

  • most who were there, including mary, agreed that letting Florence go then was the best solution during that time for the group and even, Florence. it wasn't like this was diana's decision to fire Florence, berry gordy was only looking out for what he thought was best for his #1 act, and both mary and diana had objected at first but agreed that berry was right. mary was informed just as diana was before berry announced it to florence. in the years to come after florence left the trio, diana

  • contributed to florence financially on several occasions, what did mary do for florence? Diana paid for florence's services and even set up a trust fund for florence's daughter, so why was she booed? I think that Mary had to do with it. Despite that Florence's funeral (and death, of course) took place 10+ years prior to when Mary's tell-all book "Dreamgirl" was published, I'm sure she was already trashing Diana and spreading filthy shit amongst everyone, stirring up all that hatred!

  • Comment removed

  • Diana was booed for the same reasons why the successful girl from the neighborhood always gets booed; she represents all of the success they'll never have and b/c she became so successful looking, acting & sounding nothing like them, they feel that the world rejected their way of "doing their thing", but, instead of "getting their act together", they'd rather sit back on the sidelines, complaining & lying about the girl who did.

"Crabs In The Barrel" syndrome, in its most pernicious form.

  • @lassley mary, though i like her as part of the supremes, is the kind that acts all nice and smiles when you are there but then stabs you in the back. i think diana has a more honest personality.

  • @lassley She was bood due chiefly i think, for two reasons; 1: People are jealous and 2: People are ignorant and usually don't bother to get the facts...add those two together and you've got pretty understandable booing 'cause'!!It's a real shame that Diane just will NOT do a 'proper' autobiography, and get HER truth across, once and for all...but she just wont, for her own specific reasons (though i still find her silence extremely frustrating...and SUCH a waste of a legendary life story)!!

  • @lassley people conveniently forget that mary also could have saved florence's neck but chose not to and that diana had helped mary and florence financially over the years.

  • @lassley - Isn't it crazy how people seem to forget that Berry Gordy was the BOSS; not Diana. She didn't have the power to fire Flo. She may have complained about her, but he was the only one at Motown with that kind of authority. And even afterwards, he gave her a nice 6-figure settlement; which her attorney stole before she could see it. A lot of people dogged Flo but Diana gets all the heat. What's up with that?
