i kinda disliked the ending...in the end Sun WuKong had to gave up love, ended up having his lover killed right in front of him...he only finds "peace" when he reunited a couple that resembles both him and his lover.......i was like "waddafak?!"

overall show, its funnier on 1st movie rather than 2nd movie ( a lot more story oriented)

@kaizer3000jp That's because you don't understand the original Journey to the West tale and Buddhism. To reach "Nirvana" in Buddhism, you are suppose to let go of all emotional attachments to this world, such as love, hate, etc. All attachments to this world only brings suffering, shown by the love between Wukong and the girl. When Wukong lets go of his love for the girl, he is suppose to have reached a new enlightenment.

@chilibun i was talking about the storyline, bro. Not the enlightenment part. Infact, the whole story is a mockery to the original Journey to the West. If i am 100% buddhist, i will be very offended by this movie, example,the part where Kuan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) getting upset and yelled "shut up" and tried to strangle Tang SanZhang. Even the part where Wukong tried to marry Skeleton Demon in the past while flirting with Bull King's wife...whole story is a crazy mess, lol...

@kaizer3000jp lol..., it is but the point of the last scene and why the girl had to die is that emotional attachments to this world only leads to pain and suffering. Just thought I throw that there out so you have a better understanding of why it had to end the way it did. I enjoyed the movie overall. I thought it was a clever adaptation, though very loosely, of the original story.
