  • she looks awesome sitting on the piano performing the song in "Glorifying the American Girl". Thank goodness sound was in films to catch the end of the Roaring 20s in 1929. Sadly the film has not been restored to my knowledge and the copies available or shown are rather poor (unless that has since changed)

  • @rogharm Thanks for the comment! There is a DVD of the film "Applause" in which she sings this. In addition on the same DVD there is an extra feature, an excerpt from "Glorifying the American Girl" (1929) where she sings this while seated on the piano, which is her trademark.
