This seems to be HEAVILY based off that. I mean...Just look at the design of Optimus. He looks JUST LIKE War Within's Optronix/Optimus Prime. Same with bumblebee.

For the TF fans, the ship at around 3 minutes looks very similar to the Maximal ship from Beast Wars. It's a nice little reference, considering that Beast Wars was set during this period when a ship from Cybertron crash-landed on Earth thousands of years before current day.

Beast Wars takes place WAAAY in the future(past earth). They go BACK IN TIME via megatron's portal and end up fighting over the continuity of history(ie: Predacon Megatron trying to kill Autobot Optimus Prime).

Looking at the Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero games (both of which they published, well, Guitar Hero after Harmonix sold the license anyway) both fell victim to endless sequels which arguably diluted the franchise. They're certainly capable of releasing good games, but they also have a marked history of making needless sequel after needless sequel, moreso than most other game companies.
