I thought about this, too - using the device as a virtual window into a 3D game. If this is what you meant, I believe it is something relatively easy to implement, but I'm not sure about precision and lag of the movements, which are important factors in this kind of game...
it looks good, i know this and more fantastic things will do the amazing n900 or the maemo 5, but sorry i dont believe that you move the camero with that dispositve... the moviments not agree with each other
huh... at first i was like: "hm, i'm impressed."
but then i read the vidoe-description, and then i was like: "son... i am disappoint." :D
nah just kidding, i get the idea and i hope you can actually make it.

Congratulations for the PUSH N900!...
Are you going to base everything on the accelerometer? How are you going to sense rotations parallel to the ground?

Thanks! :)
I also thought about using an external magnetometer (digital compass) or the camera to sense the rotation... I'll try to see what works best.

Você é Brasileiro? Bom saber!

how about a minigun controlled by the accelerometer of the n900. you can have a crosshair and all.

You are right! I was moving the monitor with my left hand, and using a standard RC transmitter with my right hand to control the camera.
This is just a simple mock-up to help people grasp the idea, I never wanted to pretend that I was actually controlling it that way... ;-)

that will by nice to control the security camera of you home, from any where. nice nice
