This movie was the ShIT!! I was a small kid when I saw it but it was in the Bronx visiting family and truth be told, the gangs back then own the copyright to the words badass mutha fucka . The highlight was as the credits rolled and they made it breaking night across the city being vindicated and the song"In the City" drops reality science on the masses. God I'm glad I play guitar!! Warriors proabably gained a lot more success after it was released in feb 1979, but i hear it did create a stir even being release that it might cause mass riots throughout the country. Yes the film may lack some qualitys but you must appriciate the history of how NYC was back then in the 1970's, subways were gross, for 5 years (75-80) NYC had hiring freeze on all city jobs because the city was bankrupt. But the acting was good and this was how NYC use to look, now its too corporate.
