This is true. I watched a dianne sawyer interview in 1988 where she interviewed members of the CIA. They told her about one of their operatives who had gone rogue. His name was Osama Bin Laden. Interestingly, Dianne Sawyer dated Charlie Watson... the guy who is credited with having begun the funding to the Mujahideen. That's how she got the story.
