God took The King of Soul, Brother Brown, home on Christmas a few years ago. Mr Brown was special from birth to death. I listen to his music like there is no other: All my life. When I get depressed, I crank up some James Brown. It is like going to a Holy Ghost revival or fixing a big pot of gumbo or jubalaya or your favorite cultural food that your old grandma used fix. He had the rare ability to walk into a recording studio and walk out with a hit or near hit the majority of the time.
