It's more akin to managing to eliminate carbon emissions, saving the climates, then you scientifically illiterate denialists will say "See? Nothing happened, it was a scam!"
Swine flu killed 14,000 people Rick, that's a non-issue to you? Avian flu has close to a 50% mortality rate. The LHC was never opposed by actual scientists who know what they're talking about, etc... Surprised you didn't mention Y2K.
