  • Impresionante el barrio de shibuya, Japón siempre asombrandonos.

  • i've lived in japan since i finished my junior education, that's about ten years

although i live in Osaka of Kansai, but i do have a strong impression of shibuya in tokyo, endless wave of pedestrain, togther with the stream of countless vehicles and the man made sunlight fromed by numerous neon and digisinage

that's why shibuya of today fright me, i never ever seeing shibuya so dim( but still many people),

  • Everyone, please pray for the well being of Japan and all who have suffered up to this point. The moment I saw what happened on the afternoon of March 11, I felt my dream dying ever so slowly. After a few days, I came to my senses and regained my faith. I want you all to have the same type of faith I do that Japan shall be restored. Things are bad right now, I know, but do not give up. Have faith and pray for them. Pray for them all.

  • der anfang ist vom bahnhof aus^^ ich erkenns am "gitter", das hat echt genervt an den japanischen fenstern. und der HMV musik laden, der war toll.

    I miss shibuya sooo...!!

Ich wär gern noch ein drittes mal hingefahren aber war keine zeit mehr.

  • Thats a lot of people!! I want to visit japan someday

  • They are shopping. Shibuya is one of the major shopping districts of Tokyo.

  • I'm interested as to know where all those people are actually going...

It would be hilarious if they were just crossing the street for fun!

  • love tokyo

  • tokyo is the best city in the world

  • @aranada303 You are totally right :D:D

  • are those people crossing the street or throwing a parade

  • I was standing in the same spot as i u i think, was it the view from the train/subway station window?

  • i was at shibuya tokyo 2 days ago and it was AMAZING.i love it and l'll definitely go there soon!!

  • man i love this clip...awesome!!

  • I actually spend my exchange year in Osaka, prefecutre because of that i really like Osaka, Namba, SHinsaibashi really much, but tomorrow i am going to tokyo for 2 days, but i think I will still like Osaka, Namba the best.

  • i want this track with out the vocals.

  • japans cool. i visited Tokyo last summer

  • I miss living in Japan so much. This video, however amature it is, really captures the intensity of the world's largest metorpolis.

  • I miss Japan. This vid pretty much captures my sad nostalgia 100%. Spent many a night in the Starbucks overlooking the crosswalk. :(

  • @jmp51985 Do not fret. Sure enough, you will have another chance to go back. No matter what, though, at least you had a splendid time, yes? I, on the other hand, am still waiting for my meal ticket. I will get there if I stay persistant about it. You may do the same if you do not give up. Just stay positive that you will be back in Japan. In fact, let us make a pact that the both of us vow to go there, no matter what the case.

  • One of the best experiences of my life.

What you don't see in the video is the multiple levels of clubs, stores and restaraunts 5 floors above and 2 below street level. Then there's the tight alley ways packed full of the same.

My fav are the tiny bars that you have to duck your head to get inside.

I've been home a week and I already miss it.

  • This song rocks. What is the title?

  • only in japan :D

  • The ultimate urban experience. Tokyo is megacity

  • Actually, Toukyou is only 12 million people. The whole Kantou region is 32 million. That region, for a comparison, is about the size of the "Lower Mainland" of British Columbia. BC is about 2 or 3 times the size of the entire country of Japan which is home to just over 127 million people.

And that intersection, while busy and crazy, does not feel as dense as it looks. People just... flow. I walked across that intersection nearly every day for 7 months for work ^_^

  • thats looks like sydney.....times 10 looks really awesome there

  • i remember going there and i was like "holy crap so many people" , id love to go back to tokyo again and the tram system they have there is sawesome, i remember going to these like underground market places with all this good food omg i keep talking about it lol i jus wanna go back

  • the songs name is homeless club kids, remix by alexander perl

  • "Save our Space Ship Mother Earth!"

    please copy and paste!

  • oh my god, it's a cool city.

Who knows the song's name ? i like it.

  • Tokyo has a higher population than all of Canada.

  • Not quite, almost all of it though like 95% I used to live in Canada so i would know.

  • Greater Tokyo included. Tokyo and greater Tokyo-35 mil Canada(all provinces)-33 mil

  • I walk here every day.

  • How's it like?

  • I wanna go there! It's so exciting and cool...so so different than the West; therefore so interesting and has a lot to offer...Geez, how I wish to go there! :D

  • i can't remember where i heard this, but i remember someone saying that "Shibuya lights are like Times Square lights on crack" with all the pretty colors :D i want to go there waahhh. (I feel like i'm missing out lol)

  • That's.. lots of... people.. O.o KYAAAAAAAAAAAAA I WANNA GO TO TOKYOOOOO!!!!

  • Was it easy to get around without knowing much Japanese (unless you speak well then never mind :p)

I am staying at Shibuya Cozy Inn in May for a few days then taking a train to Himeji

Another question if I may, how easy is it to catch trains and understand where and when you are going?

  • in tokyo, its quite easy to get around without knowing any japanese at all as many people speak basic english. train staff in particular are also very helpful and usually will be able to communicate in english. signs and directions in train stations are in japanese, english, korean and chinese in most major cities in japan.

  • @therealkmurf >>> It very easy to get around in Japan - especially by train. Dont let the massive crowds confuse you or anything, its pretty straightforward even without no japanese knowledge.

  • any one can tell me what is the song name ??

  • May I ask if how much time do I need to get around Shibuya (Hachiko, crossing, shibuya 109, tower records etc.)?

  • just passing by?

    maybe 10-20 minutes

  • with shopping?

  • depends on you

if you like shopping, the time required is probably 1-3 hours

and if you have an addiction to it..its infinite

because its Shibuya, a sacred place for the young

  • @ninejea Stuff in Shibuya is hella expensive though!

  • as much as being double?

  • Tokyo natsukashiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • I've walked through and across this intersection -- supposedly the largest pedistrian crossing in the world. :D

  • im going to Japan sometime next year...i wish i was going to Shibuya but thats apparantly not where im going.

  • Shibuya is a district in Tokyo so if you ever go to tokyo then you have a good chance of passing through shibuya

  • yeah well it turns out im going to be somewhere in Kansai so I doubt I'll end up in Shibuya...thats ok though.

  • song name? :)

  • homeless clubs kids remix by alexander perls

  • Japan! xD

im definetly gonna go there one day ^-^v

  • My God I need those $2000 for ticket of the airplane!

    Japan is the best! ;D

  • @mrpepperoriginal

You can get some tickets for 660 euros or less.

  • OMG, that's fucking awesome O___O

  • looks amazing!!

  • i like the bright lights

  • you can see a similar intersection in London now acording to today's yahoo Japan news.

  • london sucks JAPAN 4 LIFE

  • Sexy guy to the right at 2:10 - 2:11 ish. Would love a bit of that lol

  • oh hell yea...he is FINE

  • awesome! i would love to walk there!

  • street musicians in Jpn usually dont play for money. even homeless dont collect money in Jpn. good players can sell their CD though.

  • Awesome! Was just wondering, I can't play a darn thing but sports. Thanks for the info!

  • ..at least as to some city centers, you have one point because Tokyo, especially such super-crowded areas as Shibuya, is never that suitable for relaxing and similar activities.

rather they are places for material excitement

but like many big cities, when you're off the main streets, there are a lot of places in the middle of the city where you can find some kind of peace

and..Tokyo is not so beautiful as European and American counterparts, but you can find something here..please come!!!

  • I'm Japanese,and Tokyo is good city!

    Shinjyuku,Shibuya,Ueno,Ikebukuro,Akihabara.

    Comeon.

  • "extremely big" is not always a good thing. -

In this case, it had turned the citizen into robot minded android. Imagine in a place where you can't be alone for one minute just to think and relax because everyway you turn, there's always people around.

  • tokyo is extremely big

    it has many downtowns

shibuya is just one of them

usually youngsters love to go flocking at

around Shibuya station but other cities (downtowns) in tokyo like Roppongi, Ginza, Omogtesando, etc are also great and worth visiting and seeing!

  • this is an awesome video! i like the choice of background music too! i've never been to tokyo, but i'm going soon. i'm sorta looking forward to being in the crowds. lol ^_^

  • thanks alot! appreciate the compliment! you should come to tokyo, its so much fun. the food is amazing as well!

  • The second part is incredible! From which (metro-) line did you film it?

  • hi! thanks for your comment! i forgot which line actually--- i think i took that video over 3.5 years ago... could have been the keiyo line...

  • Just came back from Tokyo. It's funny because this crossing looks so chaotic but you won't find a more disciplined and orderly city than Tokyo. That's a dream city with a dream people. I love Japanese culture!!

  • hopefulli i can go there next summer

  • Out of all the places I wish to go, this is the top of the list.

  • So many people !! I <3 Tokyo! This city is really amazing and I gotta got there someday ..

  • boooar :D will auch dahin wer nimmt mich mit hehe :D

  • Me and friends are gonna move there when we turn 18. I can't wait!! This'll be so much fun!

  • I cannot stress how much I wish to go to Japan. This video makes me want to head over there even more. I am sure there are so many things to do, even in Tokyo alone. Japan is just so lively, yet beautiful.

  • I'll split the cost with you! XD

  • tokyo is kind of special city even here in Japan

other japanese cities are one hundredth or one thousandth in its scale (like, population, width..) compared to Tokyo

of course other cities have their own good points, but none have such a futuristic characteristic as Tokyo has

  • OMG. I feel exactly the same way. I'm saving up so I can go eventually.

  • The biggest city in the world!

  • Comment removed

  • wow that's a lot of people.. hard to imagine theyr'e having a population shortage

  • haha, tried to do the same thing... but from the starbucks... yeah, you are not supposed to take pics inside establishments apparently... learned that real quick!! haha

    thanks for the comments!

  • been there :D and going back in oct yuss

  • that's crazy!! 13 million ppl in 1 city.. that's like.. a lot.. it's overwhelming just thinking how some huge cities have crazy populations even bigger than canada, which is where i live

  • well we have 5 million people in the whole country here :D so compared to that, 13 million people in one city is HUGE.
