  • If a Unimog cant do it, nothing can!

  • @Leninthebest Unimog U435

  • He winched it up people

  • @chicagomike88 exactly. as soon as I saw that winch on the front, even before the truck went down into the river i was like "yeah, you're gonna need that".

  • Gold!

  • @jonnydynamic28 I have a lawn mower that could go farther..

  • unimog forever. what other offroad vehicles can you comfortably sleep in?

  • I have always wanted a U1300 with the radio box. The fact that they are removable, so much function in one vehicle, work truck and mobile home in one. Not to mention the roof hatch, just an amazingly cool feature. Great vehicle, I just wish the ridiculous CT DMV would register one. Thanks for the vid.

  • Definitely winched up the last part. You could see the tree moving that they were hooked onto.

  • WWWOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW FUCKING AWESOME I JUST SHOT MY LOAD ALL OVER THE COMPUTER FUCK! BEST FUCKING VIDEO IN THE WORLD, I DONT THINK IT'D BE POSSIBLE TO DO BETTER THAN THIS VIDEO IN LIFE!

  • if it is diesel that blue smoke shouldn't be black??

  • Unimog don't need n stinking bridge!

  • why is eveyone hating on hummers unimogs and pinzgauers. they are all the best

  • PURE FUCKING BEAST!!!!!!!!!!

  • psh, i can do that on foot :P

  • @teenlabotomy89 so can my boxer dog. but that misses the point

  • i würde gern ein Hummer in dem Graben sehen wie er nicht mehr raus kommt :D

  • Y SI ,ES UN UNIMOG !!

  • I hope you picked that shit up....

  • @UserNamei5 Why do you think thats funny.I have a Kraz-255W1 that can go through 1,8m of water and its soviet made with a 14,8L V8 turbocharged 6x6.

  • Ok I'll give you the GAZ 66, but the Czech Tatra??? Not even in the the same weight field, let alone number of axles (pretty much a dead give away) load capacity, size? Not remotely the same and not a fair comparision.

  • its a 5.7L i-6 diesel, model OM352

  • uuuaaaauuuuuuu

    :O BBRRAAAVVVOOOO!!!!

  • UNIMOG.. MADE IN GERMANY!!

Whit ten more they will win the WW2 ;o)

  • Unfortunately Germans dont rule the world of offroad machines.Check out the Czech Tatra and Soviet heavy offroad trucks like GAZ-66 and more.

  • @Henzzman

Yes that´s right. It´s because of the price...but never the less, the Unimog is the best Offroad vehicle=P

  • @LeChar1989 Its good,but like i said,there are other as well,that perform better.

  • pennsylanian1 I was thinking same thing, would be awesome with a cummins

  • awesome, need more powerrrrr though Air cooled 2.7??? needs a cummings 5.9 motor swap??

  • Awesome. Only took 4 hours.

  • any other car would take four days...

  • used these guys in the NZ army. best fun i ever had. just watch these guys do ascents and descents!!!

  • New Zealand Army....part of the Commonwealth....and you weren't using the military Defender 90 and 110 ???

    Crikey!!! What gives, there mate???

  • @pragmaticus123 the NZ army's been using these for years. For smaller transport they stopped using defenders about 8 years ago or so, not sure. they use 6x6 pinzgauers now as primary small transport, definitely an improvement as they can also can load pallets on a pinz. though for the price there's nothing better than a defender. ps, there was still a defender graveyard on the camp i was on and they sold quite a few of them while i was there.

  • hear the air brakes lol

  • thats a great end of the world vehicle.

  • End of the world? wouldn't everything be free, then?? In that case, I would rather hock a Hughes helicopter or a Bell Jet Ranger ...and a few dirt-bikes.

Would just have to learn how to fly it!! LOL.

  • i can do much better with my 421:)

  • omg killer fly

  • Me escupo el culo!

  • Did you see the winch line at the second camera angle? Still, the Unimog is one awesome piece of machinery!

  • Power steering pump need adjusting or fixing.

  • What a bit of kit!! can even throw a party in the back when your not driving :-)

  • Unimog should have a bridge attachment...they probably do.

  • Now this is impressive!

  • OMG! I'm buying this for 2012! LMAO!

  • Unimogs rules !

  • that's crazy!

  • Where would a civilian obtain one of said monstronsities?

  • Comment removed

  • Outside of US from pretty much any Mercedes dealer. In US you are in for a bit more trouble.

  • Would it even pass an inspection?

  • in US you better off buying a deuce cuz they are more common and cheep

  • EBAY

  • now thats a 4X4 BIG TIME ;)

  • man, what a hell is this? a moster, because this isn't a truck.... Nice

  • u think u are a driver

  • ..."With Unimog who needs a bridge?...":)

Portuguese Army used it as troops transport in África, since 1961, and still has some units running!

  • Too right mate !! they are very good off roaders. Used to drive them in Guinea, Africa , courtesy of the Portuguese government !!!

  • That was for BRANDOZ !!!!

  • I see the winch line as well, but winch or no winch, it was nicely done.

  • Good Driver and Great Unimog

  • hahaha at :53 he gets pissed he spilled his soda and litters by throwing it out all pissy like roflmao

  • whereabouts in ontario are you? badass rig you got there. nicely done

  • well done

  • 1300L

  • @xrayboy1052 So it's a 435.

  • nice one!

  • that is sick!

  • good thing you had that winch huh?

  • no its just for looks.

  • watch the video at the end when he comes out the tree in front of the unimog moves in such a way to lead me to belive that a winch cable was hooked to it

  • Yeah...winched for sure

  • You can see the winch line at 1:08 into the clip.

  • nice look .......i didnt see the winch line till i backed it to 1:00

  • Good eye when I watched it again I saw the winch to be honest though I've seen these things get out such crazy stuff without a winch I didn't even think of it.

  • Well, it's approx. 2m x 5m x 2m. Or look it up at wikipedia ;-)

  • U1300l in standerd is 2.300 wide, 5.560 long and 2.620 high

  • deutsche wertarbeit eben :)

  • was hoping for a more to the point size chart, can you give me dimentions? id say a jeep is 5 by 10 by 5, not saying those are correct but if i guessed they are probably pretty close

  • how much bigger are these than a cherokee ?

  • huge

  • You compell Unimog and CHEROKEE??? Better do with GMC CCKW!

  • @mdsuperstarPL

show me doing that with any other truck. maybe a pinzgauer but other than that

  • thats about just right. i had to dig one out once and it took us for freaking ever

  • Driver uses the torque available rather then wheel spinning and digging himself in, looks like hes done it too many times before :)

  • nice winching and that's all...

  • I dont see you doing anything like that

  • @jiggaman134:

The engine depends on the year of production. There are U1300L with OM366A and there are U1550 with OM352A...

  • The Unimog, as its name says, is the ultimate universal motor vehicle, it does everything you want. It even comes with a p.t.o. shaft if ordered. The Unimog will never outlive itself, as long as there are any rough terrains in this world.

  • it looks like you haven ever been in Europe or in Germany. we are using them to maintain the streets, to plow snow, for hauling, for farming, in the woods and so on. the capabilities are endless

  • its a 435 (u1300L). Main difference between this and 1550 is engine. 1550's have an om366a. The u1300L's generally have an om352 or om352a.

  • lift and 49s, that would do it :)

uni portal axles all the way

  • Is that a 437? U1550? Thanks

  • Probably a 435.115 U1300L with the OM352 engine or a (newer) 437.110 U1350L with the OM366 engine, both without turbo and 130 horse power.

  • that thing really only has 130 horsepower?

  • the new ones have 280 hp and 1500 ft pounds of tourque

  • Its a diesel and a truck so the horsepower does not mean anything to you. You look for torque and pull power not hp!

  • i would have figured it was hydraulic then. ohwell so thats why they use diesels? because they are tourqy?

  • Diesels run on low RPM and have good stable torque,so that shows up in pulling heavy weights and fuel consumption. And if you combine that with some excellent engineering of the vehicle and good driver, obstacles like this one is piece of cake!

So,if you want to buy gasoline car, look for horsepower,if you want diesel, then look for torque.

  • alright cool, ill look at your channel muscle cars are sick

  • Oh and forgot to mention...

OldtimerMercedesBenz is my second channel, this one is for american muscle cars, and Oldtimer is for Mercs and European oldtimers. Welcome everybody!

  • why havent i ever heard of a unimog?! looks like they may need a little more power but they still get you where you want to go.

  • Because your username is GMC, and you live in america.

  • I wish we had these in America.

  • we do have those in America. I own one, though a bit older

  • The US Army Engineers have used Unimogs (Small Emplacment Excavator) for 30 years. He's not military I guess?

  • The answer is NOT more power. Such a typical misunderstanding by so many people. The Unimog has something rediculous like 600 or 700 ft-lbs of torque anyways. Heck, I have an 80 horsepower Suzuki Samurai--it will get me where I want to go and I don't think it needds more power.

  • all u need is lockers. and Buttons.

  • The Unimog doesn't need more power. I suppose the driver is not even using full gas. He is doing it very nice and slowly, so that nothing will break down.

  • Very nice vehicle man. Nice driving!

  • I want one. Hummers, and Range Rovers, and even Land Cruisers(even though I like all of them) , can't offer this kind of versatility.

  • If you can't drive it out, dig it out. :-)

    5*

  • helal olsun yaa işte araba işte şöför

  • The best. Unimog rules
