I think the increasing energy and temperatures we are seeing are attributable to to factors other than excess CO2 - an analogy for you - If CO2 is akin to closing a door on an oven then deforestation and urban heat islands are akin to leaving the heating element on inside the oven - solar energy is simply not being "processed" by the biomass as it once was prior to current population levels. I would be interested to discuss further as I fear "CO2" panic has eclipsed other causative factors.

Also a lot of temperature reporting is done in Urban areas which over the years have increasingly experienced heat island effects from the removal of vegetation and the proliferation of surfaces which do not process solar radiation into anything else other than thermal energy. I suspect that this is being ignored as a driver of climatic change I also suspect that Excess CO2 in the atmosphere is a symptom not a cause of climate change (driven by deforestation and "bare earth heating"

Rob, Discovery News did a story on the Jet Stream saying it is not normal and is adding to these unusual tornadoes. Granted these weather events have been recorded throughout history but seriously we have everything happening everywhere including EQ's and volcanic activity. I am not a professional weatherman but it doesn't take an expert to see we are not seeing anything "normal" with what is happening on our planet atm. Sun activity is playing a big part. Peace.
