Even though I really like the BBC's adaption of N&S it's not very close to the book, and the ending is completely different! and I don't just mean the addition of the kiss, as all period dramas add the kiss scene. In the book Mr. Thornton is very shall we say obsessive over Margaret and often calls her "his" Margaret. They toned him way down in the drama.
@ Kateclaudia North and South is definitely worth watching!!! Mr Thornton is the new Darcy! He is so unbelievably gorgeous, and its a wonderful BBC production, very detailed and you get really drawn into it, and the kiss scene at the end is so cute!!!! Def recommend it! :) Hope you see it and enjoy it!
