The whole purpose of that legion is just to protect french colonies & french interests, as such it isn`t interesting to me since I don`t care about french interests. Also, signing up to get treated like a piece of expendable crap doesn`t seem to bright to me indeed.
@gurlizmorgy , Rangers often go on French Guiana or Djiboutie for training with the FFL most of the time they fail to passe the test's , and american military history isn't what i call "successfully" .
@ONEINALIFETIME100 The US got involved in Vietnam partly because we were helping the french for years and then the French army couldn't hack it there anymore so we stepped up to honor our commitment and send soldiers to help. Look up the battle of Dien Bien Phu which was the decisive point where France lost in Vietnam and son after the U.S. came in to assist. And no natter what you say the U.S. pulling out of Vietnam was not because we were beaten military, it was because of political pressure.

@BaFUD The japinese made kne of the biggest blunders in ww2 by attacking perl harbour. first of they should have gone strate for the fuel dumps, that would have completly taken perl harbour out of the picture as a staging post right there. second: they shouldent have even attacked perl harbor in the first place, they sould have joint germeny by attacking russias other flank. that way russia would have been crushed and after the rest of europe. Plus the americans wouldent have been drawn into ww2
@BaFUD ) why do you insist on compare WW2 statistics to today ? in a all out war american forces would dominate thru ground forces and air superiority. Afghanistan is not being fought as a traditional war so your comparisons are retarded at best. BTW the legions quality of life sucks, the equipment is out dated and they do it all for shit pay. people doing 5 years in prison have more then a legioner does in his first contract.

One correction here: You first plunged Europe with blockades and propaganda, then physically helped destroy United Europe, then "saved" less than a half of Europe.
@zombi658 Yea whatever, go to Ranger school or Sapper school then come talk to me. You cant compare a force of about 8,000 men who's primary focus in infantry to an entire army with many different combat arms branches and combat service and support. Brutal training doesn't always make for a better army. The training a U.S. infantry soldier goes through is very very tough. Plus the important difference between U.S. and FFL is that the U.S. constantly learns adapts and changes its fighting style
