We all know in theory that one good deed leading to two good deeds can reach millions quite quickly. I like to call this "a viral good deed". While most of us do not hit the jackpot each time, it is only by trying that we give kindess a chance to grow. Given how important this is to our future, projects like TKO should be applauded and emulated. Well done you wonderful people,

All im saying is one day to give things away for free is a nice thing no debate there. yet the long term effects of what im suggesting is do these efforts really make a difference longer than just a day. i dont want to ruffle any feathers. and thanks for answering my question.

@MochizMuM No worries, comments section is there so you can ask questions. So, in my opinion, yes the effects lasts longer than just a day. Just think of all the people being touched by this and the story they will tell to their friends and family, all the people watching this video and getting inspired by it to volunteer some of their time for a good cause, and of course us, still talking about it almost 2 month after it happened! A little act of kindness can go a long way.. a big one too ;)

@MochizMuM not to mention the fact that the sleeping bags and other warm items given to the homeless people will last them more than one day, so will the 25 tonnes of food given away to shelters, the gifts to peoples in the street etc..

@MochizMuM The long term effects of this are more people realising that it's actually lots of fun to be kind and spend some of your time helping people and strangers for free and making a party out of it. More people creating their own events like this or joining the TKO ones and making a difference in the community. Also more and more companies using their ressources for good (and they have sooooo much to give)! Can you see it now?

@truther1979 I think that for change to happen you need to give it a chance. I think the more people TKO touches in companies, making them realise that helping the community is the best they can do to promote their brand, the more things like this event will become common place. It's called changing the incentive. I think companies will carry on doing what they do no mater what so the best you can do is encourage them to change their ethos and to participate positively on a regular basis.

how do we get a kindness offensive in every town, that's what we need, and the love police to police the event? when charity companies start out they give a lot but after a while the money just turns into profits, please don't go down that road, think big take big gambles, i mean whose kinder for fuck sake TESCO or ASDA and remember you can't stop an idea whose time has come?
