you should see a performence of kim weston singing "take me in your arms" she's standing on a way higher pedestal and at the beginning there is a cover around her that later moves up :D
@Individuell83 Yes! I just saw her up in the air like air balloon in a parade. She has to be 10 - 12 feet in the air, on a small platform, and in heels!
what a kick ass version of nowhere to run by Martha and the Vandellas. So much stronger than the mush the Supremes settled for with notable exceptions like Stop in the Name of Love. I love the way Martha belts it out with soul and anguish.
Oooooh it's so good to see all these stars again!!! We were brought up on this music in NZ by watching all these shows on black and white TV in the early sixties!!! Any other Kiwis out there still into this great soul stuff eh??????
@1319second3771 Paste From Wiki ".....Walker was born Autry DeWalt Mixon, Jr. in Blytheville, Arkansas[1] and grew up in South Bend, Indiana. His saxophone style was the anchor for the band's overall sound. The other original members of the group were drummer Tony Washington, guitarist Willie Woods, and keyboardist Vic Thomas...." - Best - CW
I've looked and looked online and now I can't find one mention. I know i've read that she did some songs for Ross (i think in the '80s) and Ross made sure they were on B-sides so Claudette would get paid. But now I can't find anything. I'll keep looking.
Watch Otis Williams (the Temptations) miss a step at 3:31! lol no worries they're still the greatest. Also this is the best version on youtube in terms of clear picture Five star
God, I LOVE this!!

I know there was a woman in Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Why is she never in any of the performances i have seen?
nosiestink 3 years ago
Claudette was married to Smokey and stopped live performances and touring to have a family. She also wrote a lot of Motown songs.
