  • God, I LOVE this!!

  • Poor Martha, elevated way up on that pedestal, she definitely had "Nowhere To Run"

  • @ranhill lol yes :D

you should see a performence of kim weston singing "take me in your arms" she's standing on a way higher pedestal and at the beginning there is a cover around her that later moves up :D

  • @Individuell83 Yes! I just saw her up in the air like air balloon in a parade. She has to be 10 - 12 feet in the air, on a small platform, and in heels!

  • @ranhill I feld so worry for her :D especially because the instrumentation and her singing are totally out of sync

  • This isn't music..it's MAGIC!!

  • Now, THIS is music! To hell with rap-crap.

  • Great music...but I'm nevious about her falling off that block. How did they get her up there with that tight dress. I would like to have seen that!

  • what a kick ass version of nowhere to run by Martha and the Vandellas. So much stronger than the mush the Supremes settled for with notable exceptions like Stop in the Name of Love. I love the way Martha belts it out with soul and anguish.

  • Whew!! could'nt use shotguns in a music video today! Incredible!

  • Oooooh it's so good to see all these stars again!!! We were brought up on this music in NZ by watching all these shows on black and white TV in the early sixties!!! Any other Kiwis out there still into this great soul stuff eh??????

  • who is on guitar and organ

  • @1319second3771 Paste From Wiki ".....Walker was born Autry DeWalt Mixon, Jr. in Blytheville, Arkansas[1] and grew up in South Bend, Indiana. His saxophone style was the anchor for the band's overall sound. The other original members of the group were drummer Tony Washington, guitarist Willie Woods, and keyboardist Vic Thomas...." - Best - CW

  • @1319second3771

  • aha! lol :P

  • Top stuff! Thanks very much.

  • I know there was a woman in Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Why is she never in any of the performances i have seen?

  • Claudette was married to Smokey and stopped live performances and touring to have a family. She also wrote a lot of Motown songs.

  • SHE DID?lIKE WHAT?

  • I've looked and looked online and now I can't find one mention. I know i've read that she did some songs for Ross (i think in the '80s) and Ross made sure they were on B-sides so Claudette would get paid. But now I can't find anything. I'll keep looking.
