im trying to get a fast rc gtr car. could you please tell me what model i should get. im new at this. i dont mind gas engines. i want fast. im new at this. your help will be appreciated. thanks.
@TheJohnnybeez on the grey one? When its sliding there - and believe me thats really poor drifting (compared to what we can do now :D)....its on Tamiya Drift Tyres... were you after some? I can get them in for you?
@TheJohnnybeez - It takes a bit of practice however I think ultimately it comes down to throttle control....its easy to spin the car around and what not but putting it into a slide and maintaining it is the hard part... its also kind of hard to explain...SO me and the other guys are hoping to go out this weekend to do some more filming, while we are out there I'll film a "How To" video for you? and pop it up here?
@TheJohnnybeez okay....im going to assume here that when you push the car around all four wheels still move, what i mean by that the car isn't seizing up or anything like that. SO, what I would recommend doing is pulling the prop shaft cover off and then the engine cover off (covers gear spur and engine pinion) to take a look at whether or not the little grub screw that holds the pinion in place is actually still gripping like it should...I had the same problem and this is what fixed it for me.
@TheJohnnybeez If this is indeed the case make sure that when you screw the grub screw back in you screw it onto the little flat part of the motor pole (thing) and if you have any, pop some of the grub lock glue stuff...i have it somewhere round here but cant remember the name of it... hope that helps!
@AbstractRC hey mate, thanks for the support! :D lol tell your friends, share the love. Yeah what we might do is a review on our cars (we are also thinking of expanding it into other things like heli's and just general RC stuff) - just give the basics, sound good?? oh and at the time our setup costs us around $500 each - thats with remote, kit, paint, metal bearings e.t.c but you can get ready to run kits now for sub $400 :)
@ JRTkid: Maybe a Brushless Set and some good tires, some Hop-ups or just a New Car,
Just try a OffRoad car! That's a Lot of Fun and looks great, too!
