These guns suck they all do all jam . I've had 2 and both jam ! Buddy's had some all so that all had the same problem . Just get a hi point they are ugly but the run 100 times better
@bigboy751000 To be honest if you already own a reliable firearm no. but if you can only afford this gun then i would tell you to buy. but really you should look into a Kel Tec 9 for about $50 dollars more. this gun is not a good gun for a new gun owner. this weapon WILL fire without the magizine. so know what you are buying, its affordable and accurate but if you got the cash spend it on something safer.
I'm not sticking up for Cobra. Im sure they are low quality, one can only assume bases on the price. BUT, To have a failure to extract on the VERY FIRST mag run thru is really not that big of deal. Hell if that's how we judged pistols on the FIRST mag run thru, EVERY pistol would be a POS., So I dont think that is a fair test IMO. Hell I have had $1000 pistols from HK or Sig that have had problems on the first 100 rounds till they break in. And dont even get me started on break in time on 1911's
I bought this gun to keep in my boat. I got the satin finish (I figured the chrome was the crack dealer model). Took mine apart first thing. It was bone dry. I polished the burs out of the slide with a scotch brite, buffed the chatter out of the feed ramp, and oiled it thoroughly. I've put about 1000 rounds through it, and had 2 fail to ejects, both times it was after extensive sessions and was the final casing. so I think this gun is alright. My glock has given me more problems actually. Maybe
I have a feeling most of the negative comments are paid disinfo from the gun lobby to give cheap guns a bad reputation. A $150 gun might not qualify as a heirloom but it is certainly good enough to last 15-20 years with proper maintaince.
It is not uncommon to have a jam in a new auto , try dryracking the slide about 50 times then feed about 20 rounds thru it to break it in ...That should have you up and running jam free , good luck and happy shooting .
Ive owned the original Lorcin L380 and the Cobra FS 380 and I put about 1000 rounds threw it about every couple weeks, and I've only had a hand full of jams or failure to eject, I love when people at the range dog me out and I don't jam my whole visit and the dude with the s&w or colt who don't take care of them, jam every other round.....
get a real gun, no hipoint, jennings, jimenez, taurus, etc. $100 more can get you a way better platform. used ruger p8-p9 series, used xd9's, $250-$300. i heard that since these pos cobras are used in so many crimes, that when police confiscate these guns, and later want to destroy them, metal recycling plants are starting to refuse service because they don't want the cheap pot metal copper zinc alloys in the guns mixing in when the recycled steel is molten.
I've found that I can get most Cobra FS380s to almost just about work as long as they're clean & sloppy-wet with oil, including the feed ramp. For whatever reason, with certain FS380s the last round will almost always fail to feed, and change of magazine doesn't solve this. I suppose, like the Michelob commercial, some days are better than others at the Cobra plant.
I actually have one, mine had a magazine malfunction and since the company sent me a new mag it fires flawlessly..Not accurate but it never jams..Also brass jacket ammo seems to jam occasionally, where cheap Russian steel ammo does not..
It made it through the entire magazine before a minor hiccup on a failure to fully eject so that makes it a piece of shit? I've seen Glocks and thousand dollar 1911s do that, well after a break in period.
What's even better is the fact that it made it through the whole magazine before a problem. That means it did its job. It would have warded off an attacker and done it on the cheap. You shouldn't have to be wealthy to defend yourself.
@Slapchop8 Nope...They're garbage. They remind me of a novelty cigarette lighter. Handled all of Cobra arms weapons at NRA gun show and they should be ashamed to sell such trash.
Do some fluff and buff. Polish the ramp get the paint off the ramp. Put silicone grease on the follower. Polish the breech mouth. Put break free in the extractor slot. Should make things better
@tglassburner your a fuckin douchebag man. now go ahead and send me some dumbass 3rd grader reply about how you bang my mom and sister. i dont even have a sister. go to hell you low life piece of shit.

i think you are forgetting about the break in period. give it about 200 rounds through it and it should run like a champ.

The last round tend to jam since the following bullet usually helps "push" the bullet out.
