  • what's the best way to get lessons? it doesnt seem as easy to get lessons on you tube like you can for the regular guitar?

  • how are you tuned there?

  • Very creative to do an instrument and to give him a good sound as vos, a doubt, which sane you use??? For acoustics, electica or other one

---------------------------------------------And another doubt all is the distance between fret and fret Thank you very much Atte: Bisho0op

  • ending reminds me of lucky luke xD excelent work m8

  • wow that is pretty cool. It actually sound very nice.

  • that sounds awesome

  • oh my lord man!! that's the best sounding tin guitar i've ever heard!!!

    WELL DONE!!! SUB'D!!!!

  • I saw this thing in a pawn shop and I looked at it and was like WTF!?!! there pretty cool and its obvious your really good at it

  • great playing, great guitar, sounds like real old a blues recording.

  • Sound Great. I had to read the comments

to see if it was acoustic. I build a steel with a tuna can as the resonator. The frist time I mounted a piezo pick up under the tuna can and attached it to the bridge. I had a second electro magnect pick wtih a blend pot. Just the tuna can was pretty rauscous. In the middle, a little to the magnet pick up was good. When I rebult I put them both togeather but had the piezo pick up on a 3/4" board in the Tuna Can - a Tunabro. Nice Playing.

  • Great stuff. This is easily the 2nd best tin guitar I've heard (the best is your standard biscuit box guitar). I'm humbled. Wish i could play like you too!

  • Cumbus-like sustain effect. In fact metal bodies provide such an effect.

  • first time I hear about that effect. Could you explain further?

  • Just search a video of cumbus and you'll know what I mean. Metal bodies enhance and emphasize sustain and volume. Similar effect is provided by dobros for example.

  • I guess you' talking here about cümbüs, the Turkish instruments. I saw them in Istambul and failed to buy one, due to lack of space. But next time I visit Turkey I'll buy one. For sure!

  • Do it, you won't regret!

  • interesting instrument

  • im trying to make my own guitar almost identical to urs but wiv a thicker tin, will this effect the sound? and is the tin u used thin enough to pierce, thts my worry. keep up the good work man!

  • wow i love this song , what's it called ?

  • It has no name. Just 'written' for this video. It's a bit inspired by Blind Willie Johnson, I must admit.

  • cool

  • Hello - How much d you think you'd charge to make one of those? I'd be interested in learning to play, but I can't find one cheaply anywhere.

If you can help me in any way, thanks in advance.

    Kegan

  • Write me an e-mail and we'll talk about that...

    Cheers!

  • Well you're quick, thanks :) PM on the way.

  • dose your have a jack input, mine dosn't its like 100 years old and i thought might as well try learning it i can play jsuta normal guitar

  • Sorry, but there's no pick-up installed, nor a jack output. The guitar is pure acoustic. The camera mic can colour the sound though. It does it in fact.

    Cheers!!!

  • ok cheers

mine dosn't have input or jack as well

mines made out of like metal

i took it to the music shop for a serves they said it was a slid lap guitar, but they wernt sure

    what tuning do you use?

    keep up the good work

  • I use mostly open D tuning.

  • goddamn that's some nice pickin' ...

  • Hi!

Just to tell you that this guitar is now for sale on Ebay. (Although youtube won't let me paste the link.)

  • This sounds REALLY great dude. I'm lovin it.

  • Hi! Thanks for the comment!

    See you soon! :-)

    I tune it in open D: DADF#AD

  • wow that was awesome, man :)

  • Great Job,,,you have to post the second one too!,,,Sounds great! Who dat a playin?,,why it's Bissethead Deferre!

  • Hey!!!!

    Great and cool!

    Congrats!

    Chris

  • Very good but do you have to dismantle your guitar if you want a biscuit?

  • If you really want a good sound, you must eat up all the cookies before building the guitar. Chocolate has weird acoustical properties. :-)

  • ROFL!!! Thanks man, I'm just getting in to slide and I dig the hell out of your vids. Thanks much and keep up the smooth work.

  • Wow, just finish mine yesterday.

Start playing for first time ! sound owesome in large room.

Do you have tabs of this song ?

  • Congratulations!!! :-)

No, I don't have tabs. It's just a small tune I made up on the go, for this video.

    Cheers!

  • cool

  • It would sound even better with beefier (wound 3rd) strings.

And it wouldn't hurt if you leave more wood both on the neck and headstock.

    Overall a fine job. Congrats!

  • I agree.

In fact I've got a second, improved, version of the instrument. I'll post it someday.

    thanks!!!

  • Nice video, nice playing and awesome guitar. Cheers mate!

  • congrats- you are a very very clever fella.

Seeing and hearing this clip has inspired me to have a go. Are there any websites that might provide a bit more guidance?

    Good playing mister !!!

  • bloody ingeneus..

  • Hello!

...nice job, man, just got your book: You're a a good one! Thanks a lot, carry on!

  • Thank you!!!

Hope you like the book. :-)

  • Thats a great sounding lap steel, good job!

    Saludos KO!!!

  • hey hey,

when are we gonna cook this live on stage?

  • Uhmmm, ik zie dat niet zitten. :-)

  • Que bueno deferre.

    Y como suena! :)

  • Que mostro eres tio, dale caña. Se nota que la caja es vintage...xDD

Fuera coña,suena muy bien tio. Keep it blues!

  • El teletubby sí es vintage. :-)

  • Je je...

estás que no paras con tus "inventos".

    Genial!

  • Estoy hiperactivo. :-)

    Gracias!
