  • @stalkingalizee The opv?

  • ditungu deh, keluaran sigma next generation versi PAL...

  • Indonesia is an archipelago country in the world, they absolutely need thousands of ship to protect their country. But I love this ship and the moving angle from this camera, good job!

  • Most of the value of this contract goes to France.

  • @stalkingalizee why?

  • @cubosensaj Because combat systems, propulsion and sensors are made by French companies. Worth far more than just the value of the hull.

  • @stalkingalizee the radar's are french as well (thales netherland is basically french), the hull is romanian... the dutch are just in charge of finance or something. this ship is called dutch but it shouldn't be. And i believe the design is german

  • @cubosensaj The radars, sonar, missiles, engines, combat system, IFF, communications, Electronic warfare, decoys, torpedoes are all French... and most likely will fly a French helicopter.

  • @stalkingalizee so why werent they made in france that would save money?

    where were they made actually?

  • @cubosensaj They were built in Holland. France owns the Dutch outfitting companies and has a steady supply line for components to ship from French manufacturers and plenty of French specialists to integrate them on the ship. France took over the Dutch companies 20 years so we could dominate marine systems on all ships they make.

  • @stalkingalizee but why would they supply a shipyard that is not owned by french companies, if they don't the dutch yard will go bankrupt and they will be forced to order from france

  • @cubosensaj Gowind is the only class of corvette France makes and it is more advanced product than SIGMA, also makes it more expensive. To save money these nations choose cheaper less stealthy hull from Dutch yard.

  • @stalkingalizee the dutch also make the horrible holland class

yet they think their ships are superior to the french ships

  • @cubosensaj Holland is an OPV, yet it is the size of a first rate frigate. No sense there...

  • @stalkingalizee i believe that is european political correctness, for it can be armed with missiles if needed judging by that mast on top of it

  • @cubosensaj It is armed with French MICA VL.

  • @cubosensaj True. However, this would be a huge operation both time and cost wise. The ships aren't provided for missiles yet.

  • @stalkingalizee it looks pretty mean though, "looks like a tiger, fights like a kitten" is what describes them... what will they be used for?

  • @stalkingalizee Well, due to budget cuts like in all western navies the Royal Dutch navy couldn't afford to buy 4 new frigates. Besides, the modern day tasks of a small countries' navy like the Dutch' are mostly fighting pirates and drug smuggling. We'll be cheaper off using patrol vessels other than fully equipped frigates or destroyers.

  • @bossesstruik What is the point of a 4000t OPV? Waste of money when a 1500t can do the same job.

  • @stalkingalizee This class of ships is destined not only for patrol tasks, but can also offer humanitarian aid and is equipped to accommodate evacuees. Still, I do understand and share your opinion. A large 'war'ship with very expensive sensors, but lacks the teeth to bite...

  • @cubosensaj I'm sorry but I'll have to correct you here. The hull design is absolutely Dutch, being designed by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding. The hull is built in one of their wharves in Romania After that, it is towed to The Netherlands to be fitted with armament and sensors that are Dutch, Italian, French and even South African built.

  • Vietnam will have 4 sigma warships in near future with total price : 4 billion dollar.

  • majestic.

  • I LOVE INDONESIA
