Ok you probably just started the game and your playing on normal mode. were he has beaten the game in normal mode and got all the boosters and such. second IF your still fighting Nevan and she kisses you then yes you die or depanding on how much health you have...her kiss drains your hp and she gets hp for her self. so your not doing anything wrong...other then being a new player xD

Hey, it's also been a while since i played this, but I'm wondering whether she only uses her spin when you get close to her on higher difficulties. i remember getting my S rank in dmd and after that i did it on normal but it didn't work the same way, i could just smash her close range. is that normal?

yes it has a difference in higher difficulties..if you play on normal everything is easier to kill but in DMD there harder. if you want to test me out try the jester fight. try it on normal*wen fighting him on narmorl after he's done danceing from wen you shoot him he stops and you can attack him for a while...in DMD or hard or very hard diff he doesn't stop so you can hit him he attacks you right away....

@IMontheGO Actually Jester does stop on DMD too. When you shoot him after a wave of balls he gets stunned, just like on nomal. Still the most stupid enemy in the game in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I got all my S-Ranks on DMD. I just find it weird somehow that Nevan does barely use her spin if you get close to her on the lower difficulties...

Most boring boss in the game anyway. Period.

The Nevan fight: one of the few things in your videos I might actually be able to pull off. (Not being a smartass, just acknowledging that I don't have the skills to do most of the stuff you do in your DMC3 vids)

This Nevan fight is one of the most simple strategies in the game! It's fun to pull off and easy as hell. Anyone who can play in DMD can absolutely perfect the fight in about an hours worth of practice...probably less than that, even.

I can do almost all of it perfectly, except any time I shoot her with KA, it doesn't knock her down. What'm I doing wrong?

It's been a year since I've played the game, so don't quote me on this...

It might be because you're not shooting her fast enough. The moment where she shrieks, when her shield is down, is the moment you want to Straight/KA her. That might be the issue, but again, don't quote me on that. I'm not as on top of the game's mechanics as I once was.
