  • This has stank all over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • singing the blues!!! awesome!!!

  • This is EC's best bluesguitar solo ever!EC and Gibson 335 is the best thing what ever has happened in rockmusic. He played it even with Cream about 45y ago.

Band is great here too as allways!

  • nobody bends strings like eric :)

  • this is good, allright, but freddy king rocked this song!

  • @mags031f Freddy King is raw, Clapton is classic. No comparison.

  • Nearly on par with the texas cannonball himself!

  • This is aesthetic and audio perfection! 2012 Eric needs to cut his damn hair hahaha

  • What ever happens, I am going to see him this year, sod everything else. A hero. +++++++

Poor hubert just passed away.God bless him.

  • this is just sex on a guitar:D

  • any women out there...have you ever noticed what beautiful hands Eric has? :-)

  • it is incredible it looks very much since ive been loving you from led zeppelin, jimmy and eric used the same licks ?

  • It is amazing to watch a musician like E it appears to me his guitar is like a body part

  • Insulin to diabetic ....... this music to my soul!

  • is everyone sure this isn't about pattie boyd it sure sound's like it

  • Great song

  • clapton just plays with so much more feel with a gibson...put down the strat EC!

  • Blues on guitar just does not get more musically and emotionally intense than this.

I've been listening to EC play guitar for forty years, and he seems to just get better

    and better....

  • I think that ES 335 is at least 45 ...

  • ˜”*°• ♥ •°*”˜

    ˙·٠•●♥ღ.*♫•* ♫♪

  • This version on the ES-335 is one of the best of EC's!

I hope to love my woman with this kind of passion!! :-)

  • i was playing along and i think he changes the key to D in the last solo. WTF???

  • @erikvonbehr

    fuck yes! he does.

    OMG :D

  • I love to listen to EC doing the blues! I know Jimi is supposed to be the best guitarist, but Eric is my favorite, especially doing the blues. I don't care if others play the blues better. His sound moves me like no one else, colour notwithstanding. In fact, race has nothing to do with it. I'd love it if there were a 2-disc, live blues album; From the Cradle isn't enough.

  • it´s incredible how he´s almost 70 years old and still looking as he's 30, 40...

  • Love E.C.!!!!! :)) Slow Hand!!

  • 1:49

    IS THE COOLEST SHIT EVER

  • @totoado lol there are many of those. i watched one recently that gary more did. do me a favor and watch the video of him playing red house with the red guitar. he does this bend thats really spontaneous and u dont expect it.

  • Holy mother of God this is pure perfection.

  • guitar sounds like voice of one thousand sirens

  • This is some really really good shit

  • May not be a good shredder, but very few can touch him on a blues or rock song?

  • Eric clapton always sound better with gibson...

  • clapton and jeff beck did a concert togther and a writer asked beck what he was looking at and becks response was when that man plays the blues noboady can touch him

  • Absolutely AMAZING

  • have you ever loved a woman... so much, you made the best badass solo ever?

  • <3 Repeated sentiment, but-- God, to be the guitar in Eric Clapton's hands-- meow!!! <3

  • And his guitar gently weeps

  • This is the guitar Clapton was born to play (whenever he plays a strat it tends to sounds uninteresting and souls-less - or at least ho-hum, but strap on a fat hum bucking Gibson and look out!!!! - Nobody rocked a Gibson like Eric (just listen to any Live Cream to hear that). Somebody please tell him this, he really needs to know.

  • @beckola i disagrre that he sounds souless when he plays a strat but i absolutely agree that he plays amazing with the gibson!

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • @wingseclipsed looks like a Gibson ES335

  • Check out the "Tony Martin Group" on Youtube if you love great feeling and tone, he is awesome ;-)

  • @dumbletone You know what awesome is?? Its how you know who Tony Martin Group is...no wonder you dont know what your talking about

  • @marcuswelbyod I'm not sayin'g his as good as Clapton, just sayin' he is a great young player, as there is not much those days.. You really think he's bad ? Sad for you sorry..

  • @marcuswelbyod And by the way, who are you to tell me that i don't know what i'm talking about ? Do you want to teach me life man ?? One thing, try to play like that young guy and then call me after that, ok ?

  • just shows why he is the best. tell me anyone who could play this song with as much venom and soul .

  • Fantastic song, fantastic guitar work. And that woman is Pattie Boyd, George Harrison and Clapton's former wife.

  • he plays insane.

  • All you young dumbasses need to shut the hell up.If you knew something about the blues then you would know that they don't all ways do a song the exact same way every time.

  • the earth stopped when EC unleash the beast from his fingers....

  • amazing

  • Freddie King song..he is even using a guitar similar to the one Freddie used to play this song.

  • Hope that guitar was 18, cause he just fuck the shit out of it.

  • @RedsoxFan20042007

I could not have found better words to use.

  • @RedsoxFan20042007 lol. yeah!!!!

  • One of his finest performences by e.c

  • Ummm..could you all just shut up and listen....if someone doesn't get Clapton, then they need to go back to their non-existent guitar playing universe and crawl up into a ball...

  • Ummm..could you all just shut up and listen....if someone doesn't get Clapton, then they need to go back to their non-existent guitar playing universe and crawl up into a ball..

  • I have heard GOD. He played in Cream!

  • this is why they say Clapton is God . . .

  • To all the Clapton worshipers out there: stop trying to reason with haters. There are people out there who make a career out of being detractors because they resent other people's success and popularity. The more Clapton fans place him on a pedestal, the more it irks the haters. The reason EC is still worshiped 40 yrs after being pronounced dead by self proclaimed "sophisticated" music experts is because is still the greatest living blues guitarist. Similar jerks tore down BB for selling out too.

  • @onewaytoplay I did not just come here to hate but have you not seen Freddie Kings version of this? Im sorry Eric, you did not top Freddie. Has nothing to do with Claptons epic success....

  • @onewaytoplay I like how you link it to BB, both gents are two of the most heartfelt guitar players in my personal oppinion, some say Mark Knopfler is the better player, much respect to Marky but Eric plays through the heart where you can tell he has roots in the blues. His feel for music is superb.

  • @onewaytoplay Selling out like it's a criminal act? What about politicians who "sell out" the entire country?

What about those f'ing pimps who "sell out" our children? Drug Lords who do no more than "infect/sell out" our beautiful youth? Nah....this guy certainly did not "sell out", in my eyes....

    Bridgette

  • SRV took everything by storm.but clapton shouldnt have told him bout the helicopters outside then he wouldnt have been still alive today. he shouldnt went with his brother and sister and law.

  • awesome - as usual; same goosebumps here

  • Is that Clapton playing a red hot 335 or is the 335 playing a Clapton?

  • yeeeaaahh.... fantastico! jessica hay se la dedique para que se la goda! :*

  • Suburban top 40 commercial rubbish.

  • @MissEgasMoniz we appreciate your comment and have appropriately filed it in the trash where it belongs

  • @dixiedragon54 LOL - Nope! Sorry spud - you do not appreciate my comment, so don't be so pathetically daft. Clapton was amazing until 1971 - after that it has been a very dull career with some exceptionally awful music ('Pretending' - one string solo - oh how we laughed our arses off). Sure I can think of a few good tunes such as Let It Rain, but with the vile exploitative dollar grab of Tears In Heaven (also called Crocodile Tears In Hell) he descended into the 'missing in action' category. FU!

  • @MissEgasMoniz I hope to God you never have children, barren douchebag. Tears In Heaven was written about the unspeakable tragedy of his four year old son's death. If you can't hear that, do the world a favor and shove an icepick in each ear. FU, sans lubricant.

  • @mollyipowers LOL - hey ignorant douche bag ball-less suburbanite dumbfuck. That vile exploitative co-written piece of rubbish top 40 tasteless crap was co-written? Hardly from the heart eh fat cunt. Crapton knew the foolish top 40 masses would eat this shit up. His son died but he decided to make millions as a result. You are part of the problem spud - now fuck off and attempt to keep striving.

  • ha ha

he doe's a cover song of peter green and he having peter guitar

  • This is why Eric Clapton is my GOD :)

  • this is a good one man...

  • Pure wizardry!

  • OH MY GOD!!!!! is all I got to say.

  • To all the guys that don't feel anything : I respect you, but really, ask you some questions. I'm a professional guitarist, and i can tell you that this man gives me chills everytime. He IS amazing, his unique vibrato, his inspiration, his soulful feeling, etc...

Never heard in my hole life a guy with the same awesome vibrato. Never. Really, ask you some questions...

  • @dumbletone Although I am not at all a Clapton fan it would crazy to claim that his rendition of this song is not truly inspired.

  • @dumbletone > Listen to Peter Green's version from the 1968 Carousel Ballroom Live album. I'd do a video response but it doesnt have the option. AND' I'm not saying Clapton sucks by any means.

  • is that magic or what ????? :)))))

  • feelin the blues boys, feelin the blues

  • What year is this?

  • @sorenutube '96

  • Is the Gibson ES - 335 ^^

  • I'd love to know what guitar model that is that he's playing. Anyone know?

  • @wingseclipsed the main model is the Gibson ES-331, but i'm not sure what exact model his is.

  • People who dislike this song have been probably cheated on, that's why they dislike it!

  • 41 dislikes!!!!!!!!!! Wow.

  • Comment removed

  • Clapton is GOD

  • having an eargasm right now

  • Can anyone verify if that's the same ES-335 he played during the Cream days?

  • @ElTeaBill I think so...but he's definitely gone through with some changes to his rig

  • My favorite song by Eric!

  • Comment removed

  • Is Eric black? My granny says so.

  • does his guitar playing count as a woman =)

  • "Rolling Stone magazine and white suburbanite's all across the world think he is great - but musicians and other musical educated people know better.."

How can one be so brain dead and still be able to type? Just to name a couple, BB King and Buddy Guy both hold EC in very high regard. But I suppose you wouldn't call those two musically educated. You just keep typing and proving my point. But you're entitled to your opinion. Carry on.

  • that's different matter, and yet, nobody could tell who is better in either singing or playing the guitar

  • Yep, I have...

Hey, Eric, See ya on October 12nd in Sao Paulo! Big fan!

  • just to sexy

  • brings me back to high school days...

  • LOVE THIS MAN...

  • Clapton is God

  • Clapton is more than a human being but less than god. Wow talk about soul

  • MAGIC!! Soulful to the max, and Music legends are made of!!

  • 39 people have never loved a woman

  • @sadbutsandman91 I'll bet more than that

  • @sadbutsandman91 ... add 2 more!

  • @sadbutsandman91

    39 people have never lived!

  • Très bien dis!!!!

  • @sadbutsandman91 best comment ever!!

  • Eric Clapton is a true legend.

  • i wanna make love to his children

  • i know i will be attacked, but clapton on a gibson sounds so much better than anyone on a fender...

  • Yawn........Zzzzzzzz......great before 1971 - shite ever since. This is not the blues you dumb ignorant fools. Good music is beyond you all - very sad.

  • @MissEgasMoniz Bullshit. From the Cradle and Blues for Robert J were both in the nineties, and stand with his best work ever. I've seen him many times, from the first Cream performance in the US and on and on. There is no better blues guitarist alive. Stevie Ray woulda been right there if he hadn't died twenty years ago. You wouldn't know the blues from a bucket of cold piss.

  • @slownoman EC is a bucket of piss......ahahahaha...the blues.....EC is a shockingly awful blues player who has also released some the worst most vile top 40 pop crap of all time. Sorry spud - Rolling Stone magazine and white suburbanite's all across the world think he is great - but musicians and other musical educated people know better. Your naivety is rather sad. Too EC didn't get on that helicopter instead of SRV. Cream were great - EC has been missing in action for 40 yrs.

  • @MissEgasMoniz zamknij kurwa ryj poprostu

  • @zydowinka Fuck off jest otyłych głupi polską gówno!

  • @MissEgasMoniz

sorry dude u really don't have a clue what u r talking about. maybe some of his music in the 80's isn't to your taste but there's no denying that the guy is a legend and one of the best blues guitarist ever- SRV included- BTW its not only Rolling Stone magazine and white suburbanite's who think EC is amazing, his contemporary guitarist think so too. BB king, buddy guy, jeff beck, even Hendrix and SRV when that where alive thought that EC was amazing and their opinion > yours

  • @1stHokageSama Nope - sorry AOR fan - it is you who has nary a clue. I own everything EC did up until the Layla album - inc. live bootlegs like you wouldn't believe - bet you have no EC/Cream/Mayal/Yardbirds/Blind Faith/Dominos/& other bootlegs - oh great swami of EC. Between then and now it has been a few sporadic good songs....otherwise 40 years of commercial armani suit wearing slickly over produced blues pop for whitey.

  • @MissEgasMoniz actually for your information i've been collecting pretty much every piece of EC stuff i can find especially from his early days of yarbirds, bluesbreakers and cream. i don't have everything but i do have a lot. in this internet age it isn't too hard to find- like i said before some of his 80's stuff may not be to your taste, but there's no denying that the man is a living legend and can play some mean blues guitar.

  • Comment removed

  • SRV was also a big clapton fan too- and that was in the 80's. All u show is bitterness and ignorance when u make stupid comments like "its not only Rolling Stone magazine and white suburbanite's who think EC is amazing." Do us a favour and stop being a hater. If u don't like EC then don't watch his youtube clips. leave them for those who can appreciate his talent instead of making ignorant comments and hating on a guy you don't know and probably will never meet.

  • @1stHokageSama Of course legends like Guy & King swarm over EC - one night or session w/ EC makes them more $ than they saw in the first 20 yrs of their career. As for Beck - nope....one of the most overrated disappointing duds ever - couldn't play in a band before his ego fucked things up and then he thought he was john Mclaughlin which just led to a series of very dull attempts. Beck's newer band is okay - sexy bass player. Hendrix knew EC when EC was great - so that's a pointless argument

  • @MissEgasMoniz Blow a goat, skank. I've seen Son House, played with Rev. Gary Davis, seen Eric sit in with Buddy Guy and burn the house down. Go back to the Jiveass Brothers and your natural shopping mall lunchmeat parking lot whorehouse status. Thanks for playing, eagerassbeavercleaver.
