The teachers are getting better and starting to use the new metadologies, in the future every Irish person will be able to speak and understand Irish well. I had 4 hours of irish a day for 17 years and it did me feck all good because the teachers had no idea how to teach. If you're an Irish teacher and you're reading this, please, for the love of the language, do an ESL course. "CELT" or "CELTA" it will teach you how to teach.
@rabbitwho > not sure they're getting better because too few people really cares about Irish in Ireland. Even most teachers don't seem to speak properly. I hope it'll change and that Gaeltacht Irish will be promoted and taught.
Correct mate, the poison of multiculturalism and its goal of trampling on all distinct and unique cultures and identities into an amorphous menlting pot can be fought with a respect for traditional values and cultures without resorting to moronic knucklehead-ism. Britain isn't even a nation, it's an enforced union of soveriegn nations trapped within it's enforced Jacobin state. Wales was brought in by conquest, Scotland by bribing of it's parliament. What a sham.

Is there an Irish National Party (like the BNP) to preserve this music?
roksancastle 2 years ago
The BNP doesn't preserve anything but hatred. I am gobsmacked that you make any kind of comparison.
You wouldn't catch a member of that gang of thugs anywhere near traditional music, English/British or otherwise.

No, the whole political population of Ireland recognise the importance of Irish and Gaelic culture, unlike in Britain.
Sportymike 2 years ago
The Irish were the primary victims of English hatred for 700 years. I do not think they will now take inspiration from that hatred.
Culture can be preserved without resorting to Nazism.
