  • Btw hes talkin about the album Theology Meets the Streets some should hear it before commenting.

  • Just some thoughts. I agree with this music only if its not used for worshipping God. This music should be used to evangelize the rap and hip-hop culture. What do you guys think?

  • Can someone tell me which rappers he was speaking to?

  • Si alguien puede traducir esto seria genial!

  • Can i hear some of this music?

  • To all of you arguing about this video and theology behind it, im sorry some of you are so mislead. I'm sorry that some of your methods of thinking are so old testament and legalistic there is no room for restoration. David played the harp, thousands of years later pagans would use this for other things then worshiping the Lord. The only thing that matters is where the heart is while playing or singing, Holy and single minded. Bless you brothers and sisters im praying for you

  • @MsBuck45 The example you cited here is the world taking on what God has given to David. But in the Bible, you will not find an example where God takes on the tools or things that has originated in the world. Our God is a holy God, He is also a jealous God. He despises everything that is not holy. Things and music originated from the world and Satan has nothing to do with God. . I also think that comparing God saving sinners like us and using rap or hip-pop is not correct, since...

  • @MsBuck45 since God created humans, but God did not create rap and hip-pop. Our God also is a God that does new things. Do you think that He's so limited that He has to use the tools of flesh and lust (rap and hip-pop) to reach those young people? Who's limiting God here? Do you think that God cannot create new forms of music, holy and sacred and powerful to reach the young people of this generation?Even the clothes that's been tinted with lust needs to be burned! (Jude).

  • @MsBuck45 How can God use the music that has done nothing but incite the vilest filth and lust?

  • Paul Wash Brainwash

  • @ezrakong how do you know your brain is not washed?

  • It's such a breath of fresh air to hear guys like this. Guys that have a heart set on fire by the Lord and who want nothing but the truth and even in persecution and rejection they continue to seek praise from God before that of man.

  • I think Paul Washer is being (among other things) a bit patronizing to the African American Community. He states "I am now able to reach a whole group Johnathon Edwards couldn't" The Neo-Calvanists enjoy being nostolgic for the days of the Puritans and "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" but are they actually representing the Gospel? They represent St. Paul, but most of the time, they never quote Jesus.

  • @Villaininexile we dont all use rapping 2 evangilize. i rap 4 christ. but i do it 2 attract the young ppl. and once they have been brought in, and impressed....not knowing its gods annointing, we begin 2 minister 2 them...and really evangilize

  • no speak english

si alguien habla español me gustaria saber si lo que dice paul washer sobre el hiphop es bueno o malo?

    saludos!

  • yo te lo puedo traducir si qieres :)

  • d verdad xD?

bueno en todo caso seria de gran bendicion

    saludos!

  • amen!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God gives us many different gifts, as long as we use these gifts to bring Glory to God and not to ourselves then people will hear the message the gospel

  • @dannyjohnwhite I bring glory to the toothfairy!!!

  • Great Video

  • Did Jesus use TV or youtube to evangelize? well i guess we shouldn't try to use them to spread to gospel. (I hope u could sense the sarcasm)

  • Ps 40 the news song many shall see it and fear and trust in the name of the Lord

  • why

  • saquen las suptitulado porfavor

  • I never agree with Washer, but this time I do! If music was guilty by association rather than by intention we certainly couldn't allow pianos in our church. That instrument was in the very recent past associated with honky-tonks, burlesque shows and whorehouses. Now, if you are one of the people who don't think music can ever become Godly once it has been associated with sin, then you better go take the piano out of your church, or admit you are a huge hypocrite.

  • how can you not agree with washer, the only thing i disagree is when he doesnt impliment baptism and holy ghost, but other than that he is right on target about repentance and doing it everyday and truly living for christ....what odnt you agree with?

  • Not all of us agree, and that's OK. I like his take on music here, and I view the proper use of music as a good thing, regardless of the "style" of music being used. We can use music of ALL styles to reach others, express our love for the Lord, and touch others' hearts. I have been given the gift of music, and I use it to glorify Him! The only misuse I watch myself closely against is the temptation to use my music for self-glorification. As long as I am vigilant in this regard, I will be OK.

  • Trip Lee, Lecrae, Tedashi...yeah!!!

  • 2 strong

  • why not let them here words that glorify GOD instead of words that degrade women tell our youth to bang and kill and demoralize themselves? Are we not allowed to used a tool that satan meant for harm to honor our GOD? All who diagree need to stop being "RELIGIOUS" because there is a huge sifference in "religion" and holiness!!!! HONOR GOD PRAISE JESUS and keep making music to glorify our Father and His Son not matter what beat is behind it!!! To God Be The Glory!!!!!

  • For those who don't know satan was the minister of music before he sinned and was castr out of heaven therefore he is very cunning in using music to his benefit. I said that to say we as christians MUST be able to use the same tool MUSIC to glorify GOD I completely agree with gospel hip hop, gospel rock, gospel country, gospel anything that glorifies my Lords and Savior Jesus Christ. Are you people saying that it's not? The kids ARE going to listen to these genres whether u like it or not

  • There is nothing inherently wrong with rhyming with a hip-hop beat. What we must be discerning about is what comes out of them and how it's expressed. It is clear that the words that defile the will and way of God are evil and must be rebuked, but what is often overlooked is the pride and the vanity of the one who sings. I have seen many "Christian" rappers who adorn themselves in outfits and jewelry that are aimed at bringing attention to themselves and exalting their ego. That is overlooked.

  • Pompas Arrogance

  • Thanks for those references MsGMorgan , I checked out Trip Lee and Shaie Linne. They are certainly putting the gospel to music.

  • I think Paul Washer is a man steeped in the word who loves the Lord with all his heart soul and mind but I tend to agree with TheArsanist88 's argument. Unfortunately he/she has no love in his voice so it falls on deaf ears.

  • i like Christian metal like becoming the archetype, and rap like lecrae and trip lee.

God can use anything for His plan, don't put Him in a box and say worship music is limited to slow paced, feminine music!

let there be no division between the body of Christ, please understand God is using Christian rappers to reach out to many who would otherwise not hear the gospel.

  • The reformation had a devil named Calvin John a savage wolf ..and heretical spawn ...It is obvious why people do reject him with reason.... since he turned the masses from truth to doctrinal treason .He led people away from what God has said persecuting to death and his hands scarlet red. The pope of geneva a madman to be sure .... had no love inside dead to the core

  • Music is all about giving you a message / feeling / vibe. Are you going to tell someone it is wrong to play the guitar while singing to God from your heart? What about playing a hip hop beat while preaching the truth? It's not so much about the way it sounds (unless you are going to have evil sounding noises in your music) but more about the vibe / message you get. Hip hop is making the words rhyme and make sense at the same time rather than singing it.

  • Look at it this way, hip hop is like a style,

    created by Satan! Not God!

    How do I know?

because just like before there was evil, there was good,

likewise before there was "Christian rap" there was "RAP"

And God wants nothing to do with Satan's work,

So yes, it is wrong to take something Satan created and "make it about God"

Don't get me wrong, it CAN have a good effect on you, but it is NOT God's will to take Satan's Style and make it his.

    Amen.

  • Satan didn't create anything, he just took it and tried to use it for evil.

Just like Satan didn't create us, but rather God did, then Evil came into our lives and tried to use US for evil, but then we were saved and reformed by the Lord. Just as Hip Hop has changed in the same way it once was retchet like us but now it has been reformed like us.

  • Satan didn't create anything??

Are you retarded?? Why the FUCK Do you think the world is what it is today?? He CREATED Gangsterism, He CREATED RAP, He CREATED EVIL You Fucking Retard.

  • why are U cussing if U claim to be a christian ?

  • Obviously I'm not a real Christian Am I?

I just happen to konw more than a lot of other people do.

Yet I need to learn more :)

whatever, All I want is to be rich, even if i'm not famous like I want to be someday.

  • @Palindrome700 everyone knows that out of all the message and significance and RELEVANCE to humanity of Christianity, the most important and one we should all focus on is .... cussing

wake the fuck up. cussing is used to EMPHASIZE because you so obviously AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION

  • @zhulia Well Collosians 3:8 "But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips." maybe if you actually read yer bible you would know how offensive cussing is to the Lord besides da bible says we're NOT supposed to be of this world so why cuss like the World ?? would you feel comfortable cussing in front of Jesus Christ ??

  • So if there is a little beat playing in the background while Paul Washer is preaching and it sounds good and in fact it helps you listen better, then Paul is using Satans style? The power is in the word, not the style. If the music is more important than what is being spoken then there is a problem.

  • Your such a dumbass, Yes, If it's a rap beat then yes it's evil because it promotes Rap, which is evil, or did jesus go around Saying hey!! Serve Satan, oh by the way I'm not sinning because I'm not doing myself, but yes go Sin!!!

    Do you F----- Get it??

  • lol

  • @TheArsanist88 I think i'd have to agree with you. If you use the same beats that are used to drum up Satins spirit's then you're gonna get the same spirits...no matter what the words are! These beats originated from Africa, with Voodoo and witch-craft, the beats opened up the spirit world... If the beats are the same, they're gonna do the same thing.

  • @chasingsecrets Dude, did u hear Paul's parallel to salvation? Mans own spirit is used to conjure up demons . . . anger does the same . . . yet there is a holy indignation (be angry and do not sin).

Pay attention to Paul's statement about salvation being taking the dirty and foul and making it clean and Rap being known for being dirty and foul and this move above making it clean and glorifying God.

I really am curious about if u take ur principle to ALL ends of ur life?

  • @jdlaforce The bible says you do not build upon pagan places. (Pagan meaning human religion) You burn them down. And you find a new place to build Gods worship. You do not take something pagan and try and mould it into something Godly. Rap, Hip-hop And the likes are used by Hundreds of open Satanists on MTV, etc..and there is a very good reason why they use it...It is a worldly dangerous sound and it should be steered clear of.

  • @chasingsecrets I understand the concept of conforming to the ways of the world. But I also understand the parallel that Washer states. I WAS PAGAN AND WORLDLY AND A CHILD OF THE DEVIL. God came in, saved me and sanctified me. He turned the heart of stone to flesh (soft towards HIm and alive) . . . He ripped out the center of the fallen man and replaced it with the righteousness of Christ. THAT is what the gospel does. It does the same here. The center of the rap is ripped out and replaced

  • @chasingsecrets contd: with righteousness.

    I still look like I did before I was saved . . . same nose . .. same eyes. U do too.

I understand ur caution. But God is greater than all those things and He can sanctify the wicked . . . He does it everyday when He saves someone. If He can do it with a man, He can do it with music.

Do you watch TV? Do u use a micro wave? Drive a car? All of those venues are used by Satanists as well . . . do u celebrate Christmas on Dec 25th? do u take a paid day?

  • @jdlaforce Those beats originate in Africa where they take drugs, dance, chant and use those beats to drum up demons! The same beats in your hip-hop! If you were to go to those Villages in Africa where the have converted to Christ and played them that 'Christain Hip-hop' they would drive you out in the name of Jesus!

  • @chasingsecrets I heard testimonies, where western Christians went to Africa and used rock 'n roll songs in their worship service, afterwards, the African brothers asked them "Why do you use the music with which we call up devils with?"

  • @jdlaforce Your analogies are incorrect. Microwave, car, and other practice tools are invented and created for neutral purposes, to improve life in general. Rap and hip-pop originated from the devil (definitely NOT from God), to corrupt human souls and spirits and to solicit worship from men. Yes, God saves wicked humans and TRANSFORM us! He transforms us so that we will NOT even look like what we are before! Remember Moses? He doesn't look like he was before he went into God's presence!

  • @gsmiro Actually they are not. Why? because the thing under examination is MUSIC . .. music was created PRIOR to rap hip hop . . . so, sorry, but your reasoning doesnt hearken back far enough. My point remains.

But lets take the union of David and Bathsheeba, birthed in sin (murder and adultery) . . . if ever there was a case for the destruction of the unholy, this is it. Yet God redeems the relationship and even uses it to bring forth the one to build the temple. Sorry dude. God redeems

  • @jdlaforce Yes, He saves sinners everyday and then He changes us! But do you notice He doesn't save everything He created? He didn't save the angels He created! Why would He save something music He didn't create? Does God accept human sacrifice? Does God allow fornication as a form of worship? Does God ask us to burn our babies to worship Him? Does God ask us to mutilate our bodies in sacrifice? If God doesn't accept those things satan came up with, why would He accept rap and hip-pop?

  • @gsmiro The content doesnt remain the same. If they kept speaking of killing and sex and demons then you would be right. As is, I dont like alot of the "christian" rap that is out there . ., . they import the same attitude and the content shits from killing ppl to killling demons. THESE ARE NOT THESE SAME KINDS OF ARTISTS. Your criticism is valid toward others, but not the reformed christian rap commuinty. Do you use knives? one of the original intentional usage ws slaying animals for paganism

  • @TheArsanist88 Same with the wow-wowwing of the electric Guitar in So called 'christain' Rock music ... Wow-wowwing was created in India by witch-doctors to arouse the spirits....we should NOT underestimate these sounds.

  • Ok, but whenever you play this so called "Christian" hip hop

you're PROMOTING ORIGINAL Hip Hop, In other words If Pissing your self is Satanic, and you do it to praise God and you actually believe it's Good now, YOU ARE STILL WRONG, That's like Saying, Hey, I'm Gonna take the pentagram and make it be a Godly Simbo, Yes, From now on the Pyramid mean the Holy Trinity and the Pentagram means The Father, the son, The Holy, Spirt, Man, Woman, And the circle means earth!!

    that will please God.

  • So if Paul Washer talks in the same tone that Hitler did, then he is promoting mass murder.,. No it is the message that you are responding to, not the instruments of sound, like Paul Washer's voice box or a drum beat.. If someone didn't know what hip hop was, then how could it be evil to them if it was used to spread the word of God..

  • hey bro,

i'm curious as to how you've come to the conclusion that hip hop, at its core, is sinful and from Satan...?

Also, it seems to me that the God of Christianity is all about redeeming the sinful, the broken, and the fallen for His glory.

Furthermore, if man is born evil and was given over to the world of Satan at birth, then according to your reasoning, he can never be made good. He is basically a pre-destined screw-up that cannot be redeemed.

  • btw- that last one goes out to theArsanist88...

  • your not making much since man, you just said it.... we are born evil and with sin in us BUT God is is the business of redeeming us....( now with that said- young ones are not accountable until they reach that point in life where they can understand) thats why Christ came b/c of Sin that was on man that began with adam

  • upc2h-

And that's my point! Even if hip hop was originally evil at it's core, why can't it be redeemed? If God can redeem us humans, who are sinful at the core, why is it too much to believe that he can redeem hip hop?! I believe that is exactly what God is doing. Through dedicated hip hop artists such as Lecrae, 116 Clique, Cross Movement, etc. God is using hip hop as a medium to further His glory.

  • @crosEsYED the origin of Hip Hop is not evil

  • bloodsport1- i never said it was bro. my point is simply that it is fallen and generally evil, but that God can still redeem it

  • erm... have U ever actually heard any of Shai Linne's song or Lecrae's song and Trip Lee's song and Flame song ?

  • @TheArsanist88 Uh no. Music is Gods idea that the enemy distorts. To bring ANY musical expression BACK to God is a return to its roots. Ur parallel would only work if music AS A WHOLE was the enemies grounds to begin with. It is not. Satanic rap and worldly rap are not original to music . . . they are derived as music. The symbols used in paganism as original to those forms. So ur parallel doesnt work.

  • How can we believe that hip hop and God can even be remotely related. We are desiring to be conformed to the world if this is our goal!

  • who is he talking to/about?

  • Not sure who he's talking about specifically, HOWEVER, I do listen to Christian rap and he COULD be talking about any number of artists, such as Shai Linne, Timothy Brindle, Lecrae, Trip Lee, The Plumbline Collective, Tedashii...the list goes on. Youtube any of those names and see what he's talking about....Grace and Peace.

  • Rap, hip-hop, gospel, country, rock, or any other type of music that preaches the Gospel needs to be weary of putting music before God. I respect any artist that can always put God before music or whatever they create. Blessings to all!

  • you're totally wrong about that. It's a great way to express you're love for christ. If you're a christian rapper you're using you're talent to glorify the lord. secular rap is retarded.

  • Holy Hip Hop is an oxymoron and is no more holy than heavenly metal. Just more merchandising of the things of God as the command to mortify the deeds of the flesh is ignored. For a view not from myself but from many in the church, especially from the black community, who are grieved at the church opening her arms to hip hop, see the HOLY HIP-HOP EXPOSED video series on U Tube.

  • Hazakim for Paul Washer!!! Our hiphop mininstry has been attentive to this man's preaching. He brings it like no one else and we praise the Lord God of Israel for this brother and his passion for the truths of God's word. I am blessed to hear this man speak to us in this manner. That he would even consider what we do and "In Love and Holiness" Challenge us to raise the bar of integrity. May we continue in the way of Yeshua our Lord and bring the Gospel to this dark and dying world. Shalom

  • Amen!.. YOu must be HOLY..

  • You. Must. Be. HOLY!

    Remember this, leaders!
