  • talk so much but still PAP still win for Marine Parade

  • what happened in the last 5 years? in the last five years, while you were still studying for your fucking degree, PAP was managing the country. who the fuck are you to judge them?

  • @OrgrisVhal Every CITIZEN has the right to judge the ruling party-- don't let PAP (it was George Yeo, I think) brainwash you into NOT judging them... thankfully, unlike you, Nicole Seah never study until don't know how to judge the PAP!

  • but I wonder if an opposition member gets into the parliament, how much do they actually earn?

  • @goodboy5 should be the same as PAP MPs what, right. Or else not fair right?

  • @icedwater I am sure they will lead by example. peg to median wages at about... 2.7k per month?

  • @jakesee frankly speaking, I think that will make the MPs 1. more motivated to raise the median wage and not the mean wage, 2. understand the day-to-day problems of the rest of us better, 3. think harder about what we really need instead of just what drives the economy higher and higher. F1 and Casino is cool, but how much does it bring in terms of tourism? And have the associated costs been thought through?

  • @goodboy5 ohh

  • @goodboy5 $15K per mth!

  • Of course PAP have to use our money to upgrade because we ARE the one's who will be making use of the facilities. If we let the opposition party rule over, and they dont use our money to upgrade, where else will they get their funds from then? Their own funds from Donations? Or perhaps, they just wouldnt do any upgrading anymore. And since the oppositions are planning to tap on singapore's reserve or to do away with manufacturing industries, we'll see how singapore can manintain it's current ra

  • kiasi voters clap hand like no tomolo...come voting day they will vote PAP or Void it...haiz....really i wish WP will win, because i had shorted lots of property counters this week and will short more into next week...PAP must loss..

  • She should join the WP's Party. She will make a good opponent down the road.

  • @pdgb101548 I think she should stay with the NSP if she intends to carry on. It will make the opposition more credible, and they won't have to endure remarks about mushrooms switching colours at the next election :)

  • lanjiao la u guys no balls to vote for NSP or WPone la.... PAP still win all....policy still remains..

  • @MrChowahbeng Then the guys take out our balls la

  • NSP kept talking about changes but what changes do they propose? Can they talk objectively like SDP or WP? To me, it just complaints complaints with no solutions at all. At least WP could propose stuff like pegging hdb prices to median income and nationalising public transport. NSP?????

  • @ahfoo1979 It so easy as to why NSP are useful. Let say, NSP as your mum and you are PAP as one of the sons, if one of you have anyhow overspend the family fund, your mum will voice her opinion out to seek the truth and you are accountable to explain (To keep them in check). Then in other words, WP is your dad, will try to give some suggestions how to spent wisely. Do you agree all of the analogy?

  • @proyb2 NO. What you are saying is vote NSP into parliament and pray and hope that NSP will give a better decision or advice to PAP. 1st of all, i need to know whether NSP is a model mum or WP is a model dad and whether they will give the correct advice. WP has shown some policies and ideas which might indicate they are a correct choice. Has NSP done so?

  • @ahfoo1979 Nevermind friend, you have your own way of thinking, it is useless for us to reason each other anyway since it the people vote them, let the results speak for themselves alright?

  • @ahfoo1979 , As opposition, their jobs is to voice out the citizen's problem to the ruling party if the voice is not heard . Opposition is also a parliamentary member and all members have to vote in the law and order for the country.

Debate will be heard and if something didn't turn out right, the ruling party may be vote out on the next election.

You fight on the battle and not on paper. Points said but you didn't take note.

  • @SmithTan888 ok, the "vote them in and pray they will represent the people's voice properly" mentality. For me, i will prefer an opposition who can prove their worth by providing solutions not just complaining like WP.

Vote the ruling party out?? where do u find the replacement? NSP as next ruling party? WP seems more worthy than NSP.

"You fight on the battle and not on paper." Define battle and define paper. Points said? what points? Please enlighten me on this. All i find are complaints.

  • @ahfoo1979 I'm not in favor of any party yet. Still need to listen more as there are many new faces. And NSP manifesto is in there facebook. One point i like is;

    4) Employment

4.1 Citizens should be entitled to foremost priority for the engagement of workforce.

Oh, the battle thing refer to the actual fight and action in parliament. If got a chance to get elected lah.

Lastly, 'complaints' is natural in all election. Like O$ never pay. hehe..

  • @SmithTan888 me too. i am not in favor of any party. listening more just like you.

However, i feel the need for singaporean to vote objectively. We need to look at what the pap and opposition has to offer 1st before we decide.

the points made are about employment sounds good. "Citizens should be entitled to foremost priority for the engagement of workforce." But the qn is how? Place a singaporean in the highest management in every company?

  • @SmithTan888 i agree that complaints are natural in all elections but i feel that in order for opposition to put up a strong cause, they need to go beyond the complaints and offer solutions for singaporean to decide whether it is viable.

By not offering solutions, i feel that they did not prove to us that they are a worthy opposition, simply because they focus more on the faults of PAP and not thinking ways to improve the life of singaporean.

  • @ahfoo1979 , you got the point there but it is unless if the party is an opposition. As opposition you cannot make any decision. All law will be written on book by no of vote in the parliament.

Unless there are more than 50% of opposition members from various parties in the parliament where the ruling party still have the majority seat, than my above story changes.

Different opposition parties might have different manifesto and can vote against each other.

More to say but not enough to write.

  • @ahfoo1979 Precisely... And any ah cow ah mao also know how to complain, they really don't have to watse time repeating everything we already know. What we need is a government to provide solutions, not just some random suggestions and insults.

  • Good evening my sweetheart.. opps.

    My support will go on~
