I really don't think Berserk would be that bad of a movie though, you gotta remember what kinda world they both are. Berserk is like a Dark Fantasy type world wich they probably could do kinda well. DBZ was like a weird alternative earth, plus the theme is kinda childish, wich means it was evident that Hollywood

would make it lousy anyway. I have an idea, let Peter Jackson produce or direct it, and film it in New Zeland with Wetta Workshop in charge of the special effects. It would be awesome.

Hey I agree with you about how you feel there. There's alot of mentality that is lost in a translation when they "americanize" something that is Japanese. By the way I think the guy that directed Pans' Labyrinth, and is currently working on the Hobbit as a director would do an awesome job directing Berserk too if it should ever become a movie.

the problem with trying to make a movie of Berserk is the VERY adult nature of the manga. Most of the studios in hollywood would try to tone it down, and they'd probably do it in the wrong way.

There's a famous anecdote about Terry Pratchett, a famous fantasy author, and one of his books being up for a movie adaptation. The book had THE GRIM REAPER as a main character. The studios told him to 'loose the death angle'.

Yeah, but the Adult themes are'nt really a predominant theme in Berserk, there's some rapes, and things like that but they could be toned down. If you take away things like that, all you really have is another Sword and Sorcery movie.

Grammar problems aside you don't have a very good point. As long as he doesn't take credit for the work it's not plagiarism. He should cite the artist a little better than he did in the description. As long as he doesn't say
