  • hi there,

how do you route the wire antenna to the tuner? is it down the chimney and direct into the binding post on the tuner?

    cheers

  • Of all the radios I have now and have owned, the FT-840 is in a class by itself--- It's the radio I have the most fun with. It's built like a tank and although it does not have any bells or whistles really, this radio really doesn't need any--- it's audio and selectivity is just beyond compare to other rigs priced much, much higher. Too bad Yaesu stopped manufacturing this jewel.

  • hey, nice stuff.

  • I can't believe it! I own the same antenna tuner and the same transceiver!!!!

  • Nice little set up, Theo. I love the rig, I had FT-840 for a few years and worked tons of DX on 160m from DL.

Best of luck and hope to meet you on HF. 73 Mike VK4DX
