  • i do this and i think you should do it its a great think if you ask me because even if the agents dont help you you can always find somewhere else to go and the schooling that you have talking and grad from would b a plus on ur resume for other modeling jobs and agent cuz it counts as expeince

  • SCAM!

  • Scam!!!!!!!!!!! Run for the hills!!!

  • im in it and its great its not a waste and it is an agency. they will ask for money and u wouldnt bbe questioning this if you really wanted to be a model.

  • I graduated, it was very fun! I just need my dad to allow me to go to the other interviews xD

  • NO its not a scam they tell you that you can pay the money in full OR join the payment plan. YES they will further your career and YES they will help you out. But how far you make it in this industry is completely on you, I would say save your money and join when you have the balance in full because you actually get more out of them for less. BUT WITH ANYTHING YOU GET WHAT YOU PUT IN.

  • All the people who make videos about this topic seem extraordinarily dim-witted.

  • i was wanting to be a model but then i looked at myself realisticly and im 5 foot 3 and and im photogenic and my sister is an amazing photographer so it works for me but my height does not work if your tall go for it because some poeple dont egt chances like those

  • @EpicWildTeen There's a difference in which modeling you do.If you're talking about run way modeling, then yes, you are too short. I am 5'1" and the company said it was fine for either photo shoots or commercials. There's no height limit for print photos or modeling in commercials.

  • lol julian casablancas's father called you.

  • SCAM! do not give any agency money ever! the only & you are required to get started in the acting and/or modeling business is for photos DO NOT get them done thru any agency. Find your own professional photographer or better one who's also trying to begin their career as a fashion photographer. For Acting you need only a simple Head-shot and a resume (exp helps so I recommend but NOT thru these Model/Talent Scout Agencies) Resume instructions are free online.

  • @CoonAss39 (Con'td) If you want to model be realistic. are you photogenic? are you at least 5'7" if 18 or know you will be if under 18. you WILL need a comp card, yes! Include 5-7 diff looks and info( name, age, hgt, wgt, hair, eyes, shoe sz,,contact, etc) again find your own photographer and find someone who is good at hair and make-up. print 50 too start and start a portfolio, too. These agencies claim to have the best professional make-up artists, hair-stylists, and photographers. IT'S NOT TRUE!

  • dont do it its a scam they will take your $2500 and run with it u will get no work at all. that place is a joke

  • Idk about this... My friend completed these "classes" a year and a half ago and still hasen't gotten any go sees.

  • Its A scam al they want is money. They train their employees to scam people out of thousands of their hard earned money. trust me i went for an audition.

  • take a piece of advice from someone who knows. If they are EVER asking you for PENNY of your money. Its a scam. Don't fall for it.

  • John Casablanca is a great agency!!! I just got a call back and I'm I'n it!! You pay for classes and then they help you get into a company to model for so then you make money!!!

  • @Tortorheartsyou do they really? they want me and im in the process of payin for the classes. do they really find u work modeling is my passion i seriously want to do this im jus a lil iffy cause all the scam reports i see on google

  • LYSTEN i graduated and when you do graduate they give you an agent and they find you work

  • It's alot of work to get into the modeling industry but if your a women and u are 5"10 or taller don't waste your time here! Go to elite!

  • Hi! I was called to meet them on Sat too, and m not sure and confused right now, can u tell what decision u made.

  • i went to the school and i left cause its just a scam.. if your pretty and good at modeling u should not have to PAY cash they should just take you FREE of everything.

  • @MJEshow nothing in life is free. there not gona put some random out at a photoshoot. they need to be trained first! duhhh!

  • Well i gradutuated from there and and it is an awesome the poeple that talk poop on that school ts problaly cause they didnt get accepted or cause they didnt have the money i needed to pay $3999 for my proffesional acting and modeling carrer soo yha its a great place!! hope yuh like it(:

  • I am starting classes tomorrow, i was really lucky to be brought up with a mother with a great job so i'm starting. for thoses of you who can't pay, i'm sure you'll make it sometime. good luck :)

  • yep shes right dont go they ask for 3000 bucks and ask u wat u want like make up actin and all that crap

  • it is an agency! but they also train you if u need it,but u have to PAY for the CLASSE'S they pay for everything else,it's the REAL DEAL!!! TRUST ME!

  • I just had my second interview today and they dropped the money bomb on me too...I dont have the money to do the school..hell i didnt even know it was a school until now..i just thought it was an agency holding auditions..so Im kinda at a loss as to what to do..i was looking for another way to make some extra money, but seeing the bills for their "classes" is a big shock..im kinda lost like u...

  • i go there and i've been in hair shows, fashion shows, and now were working on my acting carrer. i had to pay for all the books, classes, and photoshoots that they gave me, and the photoshoots were a class. i had to pay 1,500, but i live in Washington i hear the price is different depending on which state you live in. i would deffinately say go for it.

  • OMG I GO TO THE ONE IN SAN JOSE TAKE THE DEAL THEY ROCK WHEN U FINISH THE SCHOOL... U GET ANY MODELING JOB IT ROCKS!!! but its 3000 dollars but its sooo worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg omg omg omg

  • Go to ripoffreports . com and type in john casablancas you will find your answers.

  • I just got back from John Casablanca's and you really shouldnt listen to people that just are yelling at you and saying that its a scam. They only think its a scam because they probably got assigned to a place and didn't get a booking or they didn't feel like spending the money. They are VERY nice there but it does cost. Im still deciding if i'm going to take it but it costs $2250 (full) or the $340 down and 161.53 a month. Its really your choice. I think they're great!

  • @JFisher95 RIPOFF ! ares was 1500 but it was a scam. im with a proper modeling place now one that offered me! all real ones are free

  • @Zachvaughan101 hi where is that?

  • I just got into John Casablancas. You pay $340.00 down and pay $161.53 a month for 1yr and 3months. I have learned a little bit so far since I've been in it for only one class so far. It is amazing, and not a lot of money has to be spent right away. If you need to know more just email me. Okay?

  • you go for it girl

  • it is great i go there i have bean in movies

  • Im in it its not a waste

  • u should do ...

and it can make ur career better my sister does it and she has modeled for so many stores my mom is putting me in.

there is this story about this girl who did it and now she is famouse and models for vic toria seceret im not kidding my isster has met her.

and it is a good thing do do

  • wow, ur retarded

  • John Casablancas is not a scam! Yes I do know somebody who has been in Videos. He was in Allstar Weekend A Different Side of Me.I have been going to John Casablancas Since I was 10. They do give you work but you have to sign a paper. I hope that helped a little bit!

  • I love JC. Im in it now. Obviously its not going to make things happen right away, thats all up to YOU but it really does help you out in MANY ways. I love it and cant wait to graduate :)

  • JOHN CASABLANCAS IS GREATT. I BEGAN WEN I WAS 14 I APPLIED TO IT ONLINE GOT INTERVIEDAND PAYED THE MONTHY PAYMENTS BUT I JUST LOVED IT .THEY THOUGHT ME SOOO MUCH FROM ACTING,MODELING,AND JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING RELATED TO CONFIDENCE ,AND MUCH MUCH MORE. IDONT REGRET APPLING TO IT .NOW IM 16 AND I ALREADY GET PAYED AND GET SENT OUT TO DIFFRENT STATES. I LOVE MODELING. THANKS TO JOHN CASABLANCAS.(OH AND THE TRIK IS .BE AS CONFIDENT AS YOU CAN AND YOUH WILL SUCCED IN ANYTHING)

  • I got signed to them aboutttt..... a month or two ago, they are a huge scam, i got out of it in time, but the contract says we get a percent of our money back, and we still haven't got our money from them, their a huge scam. Modeling SCHOOL is a scam.

Theres no such thing as modeling lessons. Ask the pros.

  • @KetShiree there are modeling lessons u smarty, what u get on runway and u know what to do right away? i dont think so!!!!!!!They are not scam, if u go to privet school for a while and than u wanna go to public school, they will not give u money back, so y would JC ?

  • There is more to life than showing ur body/face etc. for money, although they pay would be nice, but being something that would take down the system, take down companies like them would be better.

  • 1. THEY ARE ON THE BBB AND SCAM ALERT WEBSITES, THEY ARE A SCAM! THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND TEACH YOU CRAP THAT YOU CAN LEARN ON THE NET. I learned that the hard way when I was I teen. It was boring and DUMB and they teach you how to walk on a catwalk, and do make up woopie, again you can learn on your own or online/books etc. You don't need school to be a model, actor, artist ect. just knowledge of the subject. They will LIE to you and say that all agents or modeling jobs require school BULLSHIT!

  • My small success didnt come frm nobody but mee! ;)

  • Heey... I am kacey i was on americas nexttop model cycle 11 and cycle 15.. Wen i was 14 i went to john casablancas... It did help me with my modeling and acting as far as learning new things but as far as getting out there u alwaays have to b self motivated and proactive. Idk if tgey du it anymore, but they had showcases which is wen different agencies come and u audition for thwm, which was super convinient.... But even still u MUST MUST MUST b a go getter n this type of industry... My small s

  • @kalbarbie Kacey, shut the fuck up.

  • I'm currently a student.. feel free to message me.

  • im in john casablancas, they honestly do help you GET STARTED in the modeling and acting career. The classes are kindaaa helpful but theres really no school to teach how to model? that comes naturally. Although, they telll you about agencies that you can apply to and they do provide two photoshoots.

  • Don't Be Shy Be Yourself, Take A Deep Breath And Let It Go

  • @raffypup31 PLUS NOT A SCAM why does everybody say that!!!!????

  • @raffypup31 everybody says it's a scam because they don't get excepted

  • good job! ur the first one ive seen that dosent say its an agency lol

and i dont recomended, just look for auditions online, but NOT for an agency! i graduated from there and i dont recomended, its too much money for little dumb jobs u get..i havent gotten anythiing!!! i graduated in march

  • It's a scam!!! No agency will ask you for money up front. They get 20% of the money you make from whatever job you get in the field. Jc asked for $2000.... Its a scam

  • @Kykyleigh1 what are you fuckin high, no shit there going to ask for fucking money dumb ass... its a scam if they dont ask for money, i am in the john cassablancas school right now, its great... dont say shit if you dont know the facts... ITS NOT A SCAM!

  • @niTroRcFreAk5 dude its a scam, search it on google, i know for a fact because i went for an acting audition and they wanted 5000 dollars for classes, and if i didnt pay up right there and then they would forget me.

  • @niTroRcFreAk5 one of my friends WORKS for them, she said its a scam. your being scammed right now.

  • @niTroRcFreAk5 It is a scam, look at how many lawsuits he has because of scams...so stfu.

  • @niTroRcFreAk5 Hi, my great niece is starting with John Casablanca. Your comment is a year old, do you still feel that the school is legit? Honestly I would really like to know since I will be helping her. Thanks for your time.

  • @Kykyleigh1 and thats because its not an agency. They tellll you agencies you can apply to though.

  • and i havent gotten any work yet. its been a year since i graduated.

  • dont go there.

    trust me.

i did, and they didnt teach me all the basics even.

  • I have a feeing is a scam. I don't know how tall you are but your face has the potential to be a model.

  • John C is not a scam ! i go to that school .. and it help me alot ! and im still in JC..

  • don't worry i am the same and i just got out and i'm going to chicago and my bff got an agent in NY

  • VickyGirl1902 you do not know anything about them The money is not for the Agents it is a school (with Agents) that helps you learn how to be a Model or Actress things you need to know to get any where a be great at it. They HELP ME ALOT, THEY GOT ME ALOT OF JOBS I made back the money I paid them fast like in 3 months and for one thing Wilhemina works with them I know in 2 days Iam going up to JC to meet the pepole with Wilhemina, They HELP YOU LEARN WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND GET YOU GIGS HAHAHA

  • If they ask for money its a scam

  • John Casablancas is NOT a scam...the only $ that you pay is for the classes...no classes in this world is free...go for it.and you can go far unless you give up

  • It's a scam. In fact, in an episode of dateline, the president of Wilhemina mentioned that girls should avoid them. Realistically, most of the girls that go to modeling school don't fit the requirements to be a model. If you are above 5'8, send some polaroids to a legit agency. Agencies will never charge you upfront. Same with acting. If you have a good resume with lots of experience, there is no need for these sorts of schools.

  • John casablancas is not a school!! Its agecny There is a differenre John Robert powers is a school thats why they cost more. John casablancas cost less then Jrp

  • @Jzeke12 True, legitimate agencies never charge money upfront. They take the money from your paycheck if you get gigs. And with that, they only take 20 percent.

  • Did You ever end up going?? The lady called me last night!

  • ok i'm a graduate i'm 12 and theanimallover1001you dont anythinf about being a model but anyways i'm a singer and working on a new song so i was succesfull but yes there is a cost $2,000 for the school but it is worth it

  • go go go its an awesome opportunity and if u have good grades u get a discount good luck and yes i graduated an have stared in 20 movies no joke good luck.

  • Don't do it.

    I'm going there now.

They're just trying to get money off of you.

They told me to pay money up front.

And their classes don't teach you SHIT!

    It's a SCAM! Trust.

  • my friends takeing classes buhht her package is like 65 dollars for one day and she does it every thurs:P shes about to graduate im probbably late on this lol

  • i want to go!!!!modeling lol

  • it's a school/agency, and I did graduate and suceded but it does cost ALOT of money!:)

  • SCAM

  • I won a free photoshoot with them, idk if im going to go. . .

  • biggggg scam i went there you get noooo jobs after you graduate!!!!!

  • @cheerleaderwnc your suppose to get auditions?

  • Lets get it straight here.... If you're not good, you pay more? thats bullshit. sorry to say. that should already be a red flag. My sister went there, and they told her to pay 1000 up front. she aint got shit from there. It may not be a scam, BUT its also NOT a guarantee... So, would you pay 2000+ money for something that's not Guaranteed? 2000$ to buy yourself something nice, or a load of bullshit, you chose.

  • i go there and i go every weekend and ive been there and it does cost a lot of money but its worth it not only is it a school but they bring agents there every six weeks so u can get an agent from there my friend on his first show case got an agent so i would say to go

  • In my opinion is that you save alot of money and go to john casablancas because you learn proffesional acting and modeling and also make up.because i been there to.

  • it cost of money and even more for the suplies and if you dont finish your class you dont get yourdiploma you have to make it up and it really doesnt help alot

  • u have to be ready for it cuz it is expensive and it is worth it ive have already gotten work

  • dont. i graduated from there

    1) some of the 'talented' girls in there, were not. I, at the time, was not (i was VERY shy,i still am,but not as much as before).

    2) Cost us like $2000. &guess what?no work. the agents dont approach you, you approach them.

    3) they make you take a stupid final exam, below a 90%was failing-which means youre not with the "agency"(they claim to be one).but you can retake the test.

4)non of my graduated friends got jobs.

5)however, you learn some facts about the industry

  • You should defenetlyy go!! im a modle from there and it was sooooooo much fun + i learned soo many things that i never new about molding and acting ... i hate when ppl say its a scam when they never even been there or made the audtion/interview thingy lol .... it might cost alot but its soo worth it !! btw .. the less you pay the better they thing you are :) hope this helps :)

  • its really good you get alot of money but its an audition so if you make it you spend about 2,000 dollars but is worth it your get alot of photo shoots and make uo for free you need to go

  • i;ve been getting mixed opinions too

is it a scam or not cuz i'm really interested in it i've been to a meeting and i really liked it and i wanted to do it so i wanna know if it's a scam or not

  • so how did it go? i hope it went well u seem soo sweet and real not fake mabey thats what they want real ppl not fake

  • scam.

  • i go there and it is 700 for modling. I WULD DO THAT

  • Comment removed

  • I know nothing of the school, but would certainly encourage you to gather all facts first as you are doing. The chances are that you will merely be used to pay the sallaries of teachers. So it will be you supporting them. The real stastical chance of "success" for any new model may be lower than ever with more and more jobless students signing up. Good luck.
