  • I had gotten involved with my own UHBs at the the time this was filmed. Dead on accurate, also a witty, charming, delightful flick.

  • I think this is the absolute turning point for Tom. All his prejudices about the "upper class" are confirmed and dismantled at the same time. Wealth does not stand in the way of friendship. At the end of the movie Tom looks up to Nick (Nick would know the answer, he says at some point). I love how Tom finally rejects his philosophy (at the end of the movie in the taxicab). It really shows how abstract philosophical categorisations can sometimes be brought down by a doses of reality :)

  • I love this film! There's something about it that sticks with a me like a big bowl of oatmeal. Thanks!

  • "If Thorazine Veblen were here..."

  • "I'm not entirely joking."

  • This is a limp observation but I thought it amusing non-the-less. -I happened to notice that 'Female Trouble' by John Waters is in the "related videos" category. Happenstance has a great sense of humor. ho ho ho

  • Has it ever occured to you that you ARE the less fortunate?

  • "Hot nutritious meals." Ha. Nick is trying to be Tom's friend, but still wants to act superior to him.
