  • did they used to call the people mover the wedway people mover?

  • Ha! I remember one time, my cousin, my mom, and I were on the PeopleMover and when we went through Space Mountain, we couldn't see the shooting stars and we thought the ride broke. When we got a better look, we saw the lights in and we could see the whole track. It was pretty cool!!!

  • Yay!! The factory refinary ride!

  • Kinda ruins that imagination in space doesn't it

  • ruined the magic

  • that thing doesnt look safe at all but its so damn fun

  • Ohhh, dude, I think I was there that time. Because I remember going on the "people mover" as you call it, haha, and we looked at Space Mountain, and I was like, WTF, THIS is what it looks like?! It looks like a freakin scribble in 3D! It's so complicated! Haha.

That's probably why I loved the ride itself so much- you never know where you're going! I laughed the whole ride... teehee

  • there on the people mover also knowen as the blue liner

  • I miss the old space moutain. You never should eat befor the old SM you would puke

  • @RatKingII puke from space mountain?!?! try this then...go to Epcot, start in Canada, drink a beer in each "country" then go on Space "More Intense"....that didn't even make ME puke!!

  • Ya I saw this too In real life it just looks like a big piece of metal lol.

  • sorry that was gay!

  • I don't know what he's talking about with the renovation having the same track. they split the space in 2 and put 2 mini coaster in place of the single normal sized coaster (1 per row vs 2 per row) they added the lift-off and re-entry portions changed they in line entertainment and add the projection on the ceiling (big mistake) it's a totally different ride the only thing that stayed the same was the building shell and the future world ride though.

  • They renovated this ride.. and took forever in doing so.. yet the tracks are exactly the same.. you still get whiplash and feel like you're gonna get decapitated kuz of how close the tracks look lol.. and well my friend actually had her bra snap on that ride.. so whenever she goes on it she yells "i'm suing disney for whiplash and a new bra" .. did I mention she works there? lol she's a crazzzyy florida girl =p

  • i went on that ride i cant even see the tracks with the lights off

  • i think i was there but i was 1st in line

  • I waited in line an hour to ride that ride...and the dam lights came on...I was pissed..the ride sux with the lights on and the assholes wouldn't let me ride again....I'll never go there again

  • this happens all the time because the ride is very old. thats why its closed now becasue they are renevating it.

  • IS there any loops or like going upside down on this ride? plz tell me

  • Not in the WDW world or any other disney parks... only disneyland paris has loops

  • @xXxSexyEmoBoyxXx

Rock n Roller Coaster Has Several Loops.

  • nope, it has 4

  • Wrong, at Disneyland California Adventure across from Disneyland, California Screaming goes upside down.. But your about half right because there are no rides in Disneyland that go upside down. It is not a thrill ride park, thats what California Adventure has is some thrill rides, California Screaming, Tower Of Terror...

  • @1IsherVanessa2

    no there is not

  • No there isnt, there isnt any rides in Disneyland that go upside down... The only ride that goes upside down is in the other park Disney California Adventure called California Screaming which is a really cool ride...

  • on it over the weekend and its changed slightly, bit more mental than before....

  • I went on that and saw space mountain just like that, with the lights on. It was interesting to see.

  • one of my friends said fromknow on they are running the ride with the lights on for saftey

  • thats a load of crap... they wouldnt do that, if they want it safe again theyd put those dummys in and run it... then re-open it later...

  • when they did the red hot chili perppers thing on space mountain they had alot of lights and it was pretty easy to see most of it

  • I've gone to Disney World many times and I saw this happen twice, also on the People Mover. One year when my mom and I had residential passes (I live in Orlando) we often went to Epcot, and when riding Spaceship Earth they had to stop it quite a few times. The audio for the ride was turned down and they'd say the ride had to stop momentarily and it would begin moving again soon. Yeah, soon. There were a few times it took half an hour and every five minutes they would repeat that.

  • thats the problem with tht one it breaks down a lot.

  • the one in disneyland breaks down more

  • no it doesnt, look it up.

  • I'm not crazy.I go to disneyland 3 times a week and wdw 5 times a year.I know about all space mountains inside out.Ask me any question, smart one! Its the new E-Break system that DL got in 2005 that makes it break down a lot.I don't have to look anything up!

  • What about school?!?!?!

  • yaaaaaaaa

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, pretty sad, too. Disney World, of all places has 1 loop in the entire park... :(

  • no theres none

  • it goes upside down well a loop my lil 5 year old sister went on and didnt scream i thought she would

  • no it doesn't go upside down, idiot. Only the one in paris this only goes 28 mph

  • the only one that goes upside down is in paris!

  • rock n roller coaster in orlando goes upside down

  • I was talking about the only space mountain that goes upside down is the one in paris.I know RnRC goes upside down

  • does it go upside down?

  • no

    it doesn't

  • wow.... its like so fucking confusing. Where does it start and where does it end.

  • Well it starts in a different room, and then you ride through a tunnel which is like 321 BLAST OFF! and then into the room here and zoom around in the dark a while and then back out into another room and get off.

  • The station is in this room

  • It looks so industrial.

  • lol. thanks for sharing.

  • dude i saw that during the summer of 2007 it was so cool and these 2 dumb kids at my school say that space mountain goes up side down... idiots

  • I love the Transit Authority. It's one of my favorite things there, despite the fact that goes in slow rounds. It's just relaxing after every few rides.

  • ahahaha. i was ridin space mountain(Disneyland CA aneheim) when it broke down once. then they let us ride it in the light. buh it kinda ruined the ride a little. lol. I have a vid on it. :)

  • I've seen it lit up too. It must be more common than you would think.

  • i will never look at space mountain the same way

  • Yesterday when I went there with my friend we went to go on Space Mountain while it was raining, but it was closed for some reason. So went on TTA to escape the rain and also because it was the closest we were going to get to riding Space Mountain then, but we went in the tunnel we saw all the lights were turned on and we got to see the track and everything like this - it was pretty cool.

  • I've seen this (a couple times) while going through the people mover too.

It was cool to see it, but sad 'cause then Space Mountain was broken down.

  • OMG dude i was there on that day in Aug. 06 i was almost next on line D:

  • Sorry, I dont think that was anything special lol. When I went, and rode the "motherfucking people mover" lol as you called it, the lights were on in space mountain too.

And my aunt works @ disney, and they let her ride it with the lights on.

    Haha.

  • my sister rode it too

she said it was scary cause how close u were to the tracks lol

  • but these 2 dumb people at my school say that you go up side down on it... i went in the summer of 2007 and saw it with lights on

  • no you only go upside down at the paris one which is WAY more extreme anyway

  • the name is rock n roller coaster

  • i went on this ride and didnt even know what it was..i was like oh shit, this is a rollercoaster..lol

  • ya the ride is called the blue line its a good ride to go on if you have been walking for awhile or you just got off a rollarcoaster and need sometime to sit down

  • that happend to us to we were on the people mover but i think they call it the blue lane now we got mad cause we ouldnt ride space mountain and we had fast passes

  • omg that ride is FUN

  • I went on Space mountain like 6 times in a row, it was good

  • How could u do it in a row when theres always a huge massive line?

  • I saw this happen when i went in 2006, and i was extremely surprised...

  • When I was down there a few years ago, I caught the lights on while riding the TTA.....I thought it was so cool

  • I think that this happened again in november. I was with my dad on the ride, and then the lights go on, and we saw some people going up a slope - stopped. LOL.

  • what happened to the XS ride with the alien! that was my favorite!

  • It turned into the Lilo and Stitch ride. I agree with you. Alien Encounter was a great ride.

  • oh yeah.. Alien Encounters it was called.. man.. that ride was amazing.. and when i rode it when i was like.. 12.. i didn't know there were actors above you.. i was wondering where all the voices were coming from! haha

  • The encounters ride was the best when it first open, then they PG rated it so it was more kid friendly.. wasnt as good. But still sad to see is G rated Lilo and stich now

  • what are you talking about??!! its not a classic! thunder mountain is! thunder mountain has been there for 30 years. that ones been there for like 5

  • Actually space mountain opened in 1975. Thunder mountain didn't open until 1980.

  • omg i know what im talking about. look it up on wiki

  • this is what i found on wiki. "Originally, the mountain was to be positioned in the southern portion of Tomorrowland, which is where Disneyland would install its Space Mountain in 1977." and then "The attraction (Thunder Mountain) first opened at Disneyland in 1979, with the Magic Kingdom's larger version opening in 1980." Either way they are both good rides:)

  • lol sorry. i was told by my freinds that space mountain was younger than thunder mountain. sorry. =/

  • Actually I'm kind of glad I looked it up I was curious too. Getting Annual passes to all the parks next month so I am super excited to ride both again. They never get old.

  • ahem...on wiki ive found a series of information changed over the years so wiki dont realy work that well for the dumbshits that cant just deal with what ppl say...uch as yourself and i side with ally1278 for she is right

  • dude! look at my comment under ally1278! retard

  • OMG SO THATS WHAT HAPPEND!!! I was in line about 1/2 way in the facility, when I heard the employees talking over the speakers that the music was coming out of. And I was there in 2006, so that's when it happend. Thank you for posting this, because they never did tell us what REALLY happend. Funny thing is, I'm leaving for Disney tomorrow!! What a cowinsidence!!-sp?

  • the rockin space mountain is cool too

  • Blast off party!

  • haha. i was wondering what it looked like with lights on. i went on this ride 3 times and it scared the crap out of me every time.

ps. if you want a thrilling ride, ride in the way front. you have NO idea where you're going. if you're in the way back it's easier to sense where you're going.

  • ive ridden space mountain with the lights on.

its better with the lights off but even with the lights on, its still a fun ride :]

  • and you're on the people mover, i LOVE that thing haha!

  • i've ridden space mountain with the lights on. it's so weird, it's so small and you think you'll hit your head haha!

  • this looks like area 51 alien space ships being studied in a hangar or something

  • ahh i rode it like that once tooo!! lawl

  • i was on tht whn i happen it was amzing lol all it is is a big bunch of metal stuck together with lights lol they mite be getting rid of this ride or giving it a refurb ( wich it need ) lol

  • your on the ride that gos all around tommorrow land

  • Jeez, not much to the thing with the lights on.....

  • man! that things a BEAST!!!

  • its much more fun in the dark, because then u don't know wats ahead. u get a surprise!

  • a few years back i rode the one in orlando and pretty much all the lights were on... i was kinda disappointed. the other time i was at disney the lights were off, so maybe its just something they do from time to time.

  • Same thing happend two days ago, and I was on it when they turned the lights on!

  • 3 people have died on this already since 1979 to present.

  • what were you riding?

  • people mover.

  • Same thing happened to me a few months ago. I was there this August and while we were riding the TTA over and over, the lights in Space Mountain were off for two of the times we passed through. We have footage of it too.

  • i rode this ride when all the light wewre on at california it was pretty cool even though the lights were on

  • we saw that happen...it was really cool.

  • when i went to space mountain they broke down.and they gave us fast passes!so we got to go on twice!woooo!!!!!!lol

  • lucky.

  • didnt someone die on this ride? i just rode florida yester day...

  • Its not that rare for the lights to be on in Space Mountain. It brakes down all the time and they turn the lights on. If you try to go on and they say it is closed, race to the People Mover (aka WEDway) and you will be able to see the lights on. I was on the omega track once (opposite the alpha track) when the alpha track broke down or something and I got to ride with the lights on.

  • I still call it the People Mover too :) old skool

  • tsk, tsk, tsk, never lift your arms people ^_^ lol.

  • When Space Mountain Breaks down they turn on the lights to see wahts wrong with the ride and fix the problem

  • As someone who has frequented Disney often in 35 years, only once have I heard of someone being seriously injured on the mountain. That was in 1986 when some idiot stood up and lost an arm. Space mountain remained closed for almost 2 months. But hey--you take a risk every time--no matter the coaster--that is why we love them.

  • really?

  • thats pretty cool that was the best ride ever, that and splash mountain :D

  • dont forget the 3rd mountain Big Thunder Mountain

  • lol... they RARELY show up on the news.

  • Probably because someone else died or lost a limb on it. (See how close the tracks are? That's why you don't raise your hands or stand up!)

  • Ha, I'm pretty sure that would have been on the news. I never did get a straight answer as to why it was closed.

  • I heard from someone that you're a dickwad and you don't know shit.

  • u r so stupid, i can't believe i have ur name.

  • fuckin'a, the wedway people mover.

  • "Hey, Why are the lights on?"

Read the "About This Video", you douche.
