Hi, though I´m german and listened to stuff like Brian Eno and Gong in the eighties, I have never heard about Schnitzler. Can anybody tell me more about him? I´m sure. ;-)
He was born in 1937, deied August 4 of this year. He learned art from Josepf Beuys (artist/educator) in 1961 (but according to him, he was not influenced by him). In 1969, he established a club Zodiak - Free Arts Lab and formed Tangerine Dream with Edgar Froese and Klaus Schlze. After that he formed Kluster with Dieter Moebius and Hans Joachim Roedelius in 1970. After he left Kluster in 1971, he baceme solo artist (all the knowledge from wikipedia, hehe).
Probably they will be reissued, because he is a great and unforgettable artist. By the way, your name is nice, I have uploaded 3 Chebrashka videos with Edward Artemiev's music, haha!
Anyone remember the song Conrad did in German about a man lost at sea struggling to live? I heard it on KLCC public radio in about 1983 and never again after that. I am still looking for it, this song is great too!
Con, a pionneer and descreete influence in many electronic music styles and this just by way of a sincere approach for no coertion no limits artistic freedom when crafting compositions. Industrial, ambient, minimal, cut-up, improvistational, electro, cold wave, dark ambient, dub techno, … Con has sort of done it all before in own elusive way. Respect.
This sounds ten years beyond its time!

One of his best albums, Gelb is a true masterpiece. Without Schnitzler, much of the best music of the 80s, 90s, 00s and today would not exist.

Thanks for the comment. His looking makes me imagine Brian Eno, but I much prefer him to Eno.
