  • I have never taken any sort of PRE-workout or hormones of any kind.. Just protein shakes, it takes a while but it's worth it!!

  • @iluvsouthpark39 YOu are correct, you don't need Pre-workout or Hormone Drugs to get this look. You need to eat 5-6X per day, Clean Nutrition making sure you eat protein sources each meal, carbs in the AM and after your training session. Lot's of veggies, fruit and water. - Check my Nutrition Basics video. Depending on where you start, it may not take a while at all. - Funk

  • Thanks... Ive been working out my upper body for some time now... And I've done the multiple sets/reps, and nothing has gotten me so sore so quick... Shoulder shrugs go great with this workout as well.

  • I didn't do 100 reps but did the best I could do then did shoulder shrugs... My arms are dead in like 10 minutes this works!!

  • how should you hold the dumbbell if you're doing this?

  • This wont get you big arms, to increase your muscle mass you need to do heavy weights and low reps, thats the key to muscle mass wether your working on your biceps or triceps. By doing high reps and light weights you are toning your muscles, they wont grow but will get toned. By the way if you do a lot of reps with low weights you will burn your muscle which wont really help.

  • @ryantika False. You dont lift at all do you? I've been lifting for three years and I've been training with weights lower than my bodyweight and I've grown just as much as if I were to lift heavier but I chose not to because of risks of injury.

  • @jeric6994 Hey Jeric, There are a lot of factors that go into your question, which makes it almost impossible to answer. The amount of muscle you you gain will all depend on how much rest you get (so your muscles can grow), what type of upper body workouts and exercises you are doing, your nutrition is extremely key as well. I can send you program from my fellow Online trainers that focuses on getting a muscular upperbody, which also comes with a nutrition plan. I hope that helps - Funk

  • @oliv2469 Hey Oliv, I would do this as a finisher to your arm workout. Or as a stand-alone perhaps twice per week, ensuring your muscles get rest in between workouts.

    Your muscles are growing while you rest and recoup, so two days a week tops

    Oh and before you head out to the club or bar, if you are of age - lol

  • Eat veggies, fruit, chicken, turkey, eggs and drink alot of water. All fresh, nothing processed. Avoid salt. This exercise is working for me in just two weeks? I'm excited. I have to look to see what Funk has to say about ab exercises. This circles stuff is affective.

  • @MrYalabena - Hey both ways are good. I would try then after pushups, although your chest is gonna CRY FOR MERCY!!!, but that is goal I guess. It is always good to expirement...some people may get more our of one way then the other - Try both and then let us know your feedback adn how you feel. We all expect to hear back from you next week...same time - one workout After Pushups - then 2 days later try them alone...and gives us your feedback.

  • @mosthandsomelatino - You can do this as a finisher for form your overall arm workout, As a stand alone twice per week or something you perform before you head out on a date, to the clubs or you just want a great pump!!!!!

  • If you want to get big arms work your way up to pressing big weights.

    If you can bench, close grip and shoulder press heavy weight for reps, you aint gonna have small triceps are you?

    If you want bigger biceps, focus on less known excercises like reverse curls, hammer curls and incline curls, they target the brachialis, a small tennis ball muscle under your bicep brachii. A well developed brachiallis will you great bicep peaks.

    Train your back hard. When you train your back you indirectly tagert biceps. (rows and pulls etc). No one ever had big biceps and not a well developed back.

  • One hundred rep forward and one hundred backward! Doing two hundred rep for the arm really makes it big or makes it overtrained? Is it against the traditional wisdom that to get big muscle one should train heavy with low rep?

  • @guizhihui2010 heavy with low reps gets u muscle strength and not mass, and more reps with lighter weight gets u the mass, ive heard.
