  • i miss coke in a glass bottle to the last one i saw was last 2 weeks ago

  • Screw a Coke. Give me a Corona and a hot babe !

  • You can still get glass bottles i have em all the time!

  • If you go to africa you can still get coke in a glass and some stores still sell them in glass like here is switzerland you can get it in restaurants and stuff! O i love coke!!

  • all those peoples now in the 80 years.

  • In Canada they still use sugar based (sweetener) in Coke rather than the corn syrup the (US) switched to;hence the different flavor. When Americans shop and visit here they often comment that our Coke tastes like it used to in the 60's at home.

  • @bugeyes455858 Woah man! QUIT that! That's terrible.

  • bugeyes455858: I knew a 50-year old male who drank large amounts of Coco-Cola everyday for several years. He died instantly about 12 months ago from a ruptured liver caused by Coke-Cola. This was the diagnosis from medical doctors. My advice is to also drink large amounts of water at other times of the day in order to dilute Coke's detrimental health effects on the body. Coca-Cola is also one of my all-time favourite drinks, but I rarely drink it because there are other healthier alternatives.

  • Things go better with Coca-Cola, Take an extra carton of Coke!

  • In my part of Ohio, you can get the 7 oz bottles of Coke and occasionally they'll have the big glass bottles (imported from Mexico) for sale individually

  • @RayNDeere THATS THE SAME HERE (SINCE IM IN THE SAME PLACE AS YOU!)

  • Ok i'll go kill myself now

  • WOW, "Take more then one". Were they cheap back then? IF so, then people would've bought more of it During the summertime then now.(MAYBE)

  • Glass in LA, too. Got to be careful, though. Grab the eight ounce bottles. The twelve are from Mexico. With the eights bottled in US you get less sodium, which means less bloating and less desire for one after another.

  • @gore53 Around here the "Mexican Coke" is highly prized. Why? Because they actually use the old sugar-based formula there instead of the corn syrup sweetened mix American bottlers favor.

  • @beachdog67 I'll try Mexican Coke again. It'll give me an excuse to exceed my self imposed limit. If you don't mind my asking... Where is 'around here?' Also... Joy Of Cooking... awesome. Takes me back.

  • @gore53 I'm in the Monterey Bay Area, on the California coast.

  • they have glass botles here in sweden

  • Reminds me of Fallout 3

  • We have it in glass bottles.

  • I remember had on coke in a bottle in Mexico, we use to go to the beach and drink some coke. i'm in oregon and they only have it in cans NOOOOooooo.

  • Coke lifts your spirits...SNORT!

  • He was very hot.

  • only thing thats awesome about Mexico...they still sell Coke in bottles :D

    along with pepsi and sprite

  • I like how much he was shaking up the bottles while he was walking

  • i remember t.v commercials befor there where token niggers in every add

  • If this commercial was made today, each person would drink from a 2 liters instead of 355ml

  • "boosts your energy, gives you the refreshment your looking for"

yeah cause back then it actually was coke

  • Remember taking back the empty bottles? And you had to have a bottle opener handy.

  • I luckily can get Coca-Cola in the glass bottle at this pizza shop down the road. When I found that out, I freaked. xD

  • The reason I said that is because Coke was losing ground to Pepsi at that time because of Michael Jackson's commercial. They couldn't find a celebrity as big as him at that time to combat them, so they pulled that little stunt to get attention. Just a theory; would like to know if anyone else felt that way or if it was just me?

  • When "New" Coke came out in the '80s, I always wondered if it was all part of a big gimmick to induce more sales of Coke. You know, introduce a new flavor and take the old one off the market, people get up in arms and complain mightily, then they bring back "Classic" Coke with lots of fanfare and the old customers come back plus lots of new ones. Kind of a calculated risk, so to speak. May cost you some money, but you get it back with interest in the long run.

  • It's great to hear The Limelighters!

  • I definitely remember this jingle from when I was a kid. When this commercial aired, I was only 7 and in the second grade.

  • balduccies has it

  • i think you can still get the glass bottled sodas at crackle barrel. perhaps even coca-cola

  • If you swung those cartons like that in real life....

    1) you'd shake up the soda and it would explode when you opened the bottle

    2) the weight of the bottles would have broke the bottom of that carton out sent them flying.

  • It's the Sixties.

  • the coke bottles look like beer bottles and the cooler looks like a giant keg

Madea mint off of us kids in the neighborhood! When he died thou, his kids junk the machine! :( It still worked to! Today that whould have been a collectors item! :(

  • I really miss coke in a glass bottle

  • you can still buy them in a glass bottle but they have lame plastic lids on them and they are tiny

  • @99ONTGUY You can still get them in Mexico.

  • @99ONTGUY you still can get 6pks of bottles here

  • @99ONTGUY u know they still sell cokes in glass bottles in some stores?

i missed them too they taste so much better for some reason

  • @blackoreo124 , bottled coke are still available in the philippines.

  • @99ONTGUY they still have them in a glass bottle but just smaller and can be a rip off. but dam good !

  • @99ONTGUY . Why should you miss it. Coca~Cola still makes it.

  • @99ONTGUY me to

  • Nope, not true! Coca cola was produced in 1885m with an "unknown" quantity of coca leaves extract and kola nuts. This was eventually outlawed after the turn of the century; it got people "hooked" on coca cola however.

  • Those were the days of our lives! Those days are gone now, but thing is still true...when I look and I find...I still love Cocoacola and the way we all were!

  • Cocaine was removed from Coca-Cola in 1903. Ever since then, they've used cocaine-free cola leaves to add flavor.

  • i,am.TOKYO-BOY

    i,like.Coke!

    (D.R.I.N.K)

  • I have a friend that has one, sold mine years ago

  • i buy the glass ones, it taste better :P dont ask why and there cheap in uk xD 75p :P

  • there's no telling how much money they lost when they came out with the New Coke back in the 80's. They tried to fix it by introducing Coke Classic, but people swore it wasn't the same. The glass bottles do have a better taste, always have.

  • same guy comes in the store every day and buys one

  • i wish they still had the glass bottles...

although i could go without the one minute long commercials

  • they do where I live, but the glass bottles are really expensive

  • They sell them where i live too, but again, they're more expensive than the plastic bottles!

  • @jazzycockatiel they still have them... i like in nyc and they sell em.

  • @jazzycockatiel - They still have coke in glass bottles. Go to stores. That may be a generalization, usually markets will have coke in a bottle or Mexican markets will usually always have them. I have next to my house called Tarasco's Market and they have the best pan(mexican bread), mango's, soda in bottles, tamarind, sangria and many other cultural things that will make you happy to have a Mexican market in your town.

  • @jazzycockatiel They still make in glass bottles the right way in Mexico. They sell them in Latino stores at least in California they do. Litro Medio (aka) King size the big bottles are best.

  • i think this is the limelighters

  • That's "The Limelighters" [featuring Glenn Yarborough] singing the "Things Go Better With Coke" jingle; had been for over two years....

  • That's the Kingston Trio singing the background theme?
