  • I know you find it hard to reason with me!!! - hi there Sussie; still in the police????????? I know you listen to this song on YouTube... Ed (You should have left with me!!!)

  • Ah the good old days no wars. Drive -in on weekends, getting 546363663, just alot of memories now. Just hanging out...............

  • their best song, IMHO

  • love this

  • This shit punches me straight in the soul, epic.

  • This sounds like a country song

  • This received a great deal of airplay during the summer of 1964 and was the Rolling Stones' first hit single in the U.S.

  • You can see Brian and Mick vying for the Top Banana spot on this cover. My eyes are drawn to Brian first.

  • MIGHTY TRUE.

  • @999duhast yea i thought it wasn't your original thought since i was pretty sure that i had heard someone else say the same thing

  • Comment removed

  • @999duhast hey where did you hear that?? And i'm not kidding or being sarcastic, but i really want to know. thanks

  • Was Johnny Boy's hair modelled on the styles of Jagger et al?

  • this was their first hit in the states, beginning

  • this was an unbelievable period in music's history; everytime you turned the radio on there were new sounds, bands and songs.

  • This song had such purity and deep emotional reach for me when I was sixteen. I remember listening to it over and over like 20 times in a row on a crummy boom box back in the early 70s. It had (and still does) such an incredible power over me, yet it is said to be the first one written by the boys. What geniuses and what talent - kind of makes me feel small.

  • what music we had, i was 16 then!

  • @Ja14111948 : I too .....

  • Great Song from perhaps the greatest song writing team ever... Jagger / Richards, by pure longevity may be judged above Lennon / McCartney. The STONES, and then everyone else, proven Decade after Decade.

  • KEITH IS THE MAN!

  • @999duhast He has won awards he goes to dinners with ross perot and henry kissenger

  • @999duhast he does his own documentaries he doesnt steal bob dylan documentaries like scorsese did

  • @999duhast Theres people that dont like songs in movies they want original movie scores scorsase is the crappiest director I know a guy that was in the same class as him at NYU he is way better he does documentarys

  • @spacepatrolman Dear Spacepatrolman Could you please put punctuation into your comments ? Don't wish to offend you, but it would make it so much easier to read your writing. Thank you.

  • By far the best early Stones' song.

  • @999duhast Scorsese Forever!

  • GREAT GUITAR SOLO

  • @donneric ok thanks for telling me.

  • I first heard this song when it was played on the radio. I guess that sort of ages me..the Stones will always be the best (To me) in the world...

  • early stones the best. brian on background vocals on this.

  • @nyg1954 are you sure about that? I thought it was Keith, according to the lip synch vid on YT...

  • I like this song for it's charm and it;s potential. I dont think the melody is very unpolished in the chorus though.

  • awsome song

  • great song

  • great song

  • Here is a great guitar solo 1:44 - 2:14, not on the standard version played in the movie mean streets.

  • Mean Streets was a great movie with a great director, great actors and great music. I've never been much for the Beatles, but the Stones are a different story. I've loved the Stones since I was 12 years old at least. My mother got me listening to the Stones. Now I'm pushing 30 and they're still one of my favorietes.

  • any 1 now where i can download full cd for me dad

  • in germany everyone think that brian singthe backvoice on that single,it was a singel here, the same cover as bravo rolling stone.many greats to you

  • Scorcese also used music effectively in Casino, where he had The Band's Robbie Robertson do the job.

  • WHEN I WAS 11 ,I USED 2 SNEAK IN BACK ROOM OF PUB ,TO WATCH BAND DO THIS ,SINGER WAS A GUY NAMED "LENNY THE TELLY"IF STAF CAME IN ,THE REGULARS PUT THEIR COATS OVER ME ,SO I DIDNT GET CHUCKED OUT ,THAT WAS IN 1965 ,STILL LOVE THAT SONG TODAY,THANX JIMMY

  • Cool.

  • thank God my dad got me into them after shit bands like Kiss

  • i heard this song from the film of Mean Streets. Anyone else?

  • @19GirlBad thee first Stones' song in a Scorsase film it also had Jumpin' Jack Flash

  • Mean Streets = 4 stars, soundtrack included =D

  • @rofflemows Yes, Scorcese uses this brilliantly. He doesn't use music as a crutch like say, Cameron Crowe.

  • He is by far the most charismatic member of the group. Mick was jealous of him.

  • strange how Brian is all by himself on the left of the photo and never made it with the rest of the band in the latter era....................RIP bro

  • Great song.

  • A great song!! Well done Mick & Co.

  • @herioter... thanks for info... i was a teenager when track was recorded, and keith did backing vocals in earliest u.s. live tour, which could be a different situation, of course, from backing vocals on recording... but it DOES sound like keith to me... nice to meet ya!...

  • backing vocals = keith

  • @KJPRAR1 Don't know the personnel for this track, but Bill W did a lot of backing vocals in the very early days. This sounds like him and MJ double-tracked.

  • great song!

  • surely that's brian jones on the solo. doesn't sound anything like keith.

  • Absolutely fantastic with the guitar solo in this song. Love this version the best.

The Rolling Stones at their best.

  • @WendyKS93

Fantastic Brian and one of the greates guit-solos ever. Unfortunately Keith and Mick were stronger than Brian and this was his doom. Their music turned to Beat and not to R&B. Mick became the leader, Brian couldn’t cope with this situation and turned to alc and drugs

  • In those days they tuned to each other and sometimes they were off. Ultimate Guitar has the chords or tab. Give it a try. This is also the great version with the beautiful guitar solo. I could listen to it all day.

  • Is anyone else out there trying to play guitar along with this? I can't get the key. The tuning is off. Tried capo on 3 with D and G chords but still not right.

  • no description is needed. Brian Jones was alive, pushing the group until he sat in the corner feeling sorry for himself. Richards wasn't dosing himself into a stupor and Jaeger wasn't doing his social butterfly routine. This group went into the toilet when Jones died. .

  • thanks, finally a version that is not totally ruined by hysterical girls!

  • im hooked on this song
