The reason for Shuai Jiao has no ground work is because it is what we call 'Dian Dao Ze Zhi', i.e. when your opponent falls you stop as further action will hurt him. There are ground techniques however and it involves kicks, joint locks and throat strangling which are taught for real fights but forbidden in competition.
Shuai jiao is the father of Ju jitsu..It'all about stand up wrestling..The Shuai THrows are all for put you down as harder as possible,cause there is no ground work..You are ''down'' even if u touch the ground with the knees or with the hands

00:39: my favourite technique shown. Cartmell translates it as "hooking method", I think. Sweet video.
