Dieses Lied ist eindeutig der Schönheit gewidmet, auch wenn ich den Text nicht verstehe. Warum es so laut sein muss ergibt sich aus der Tatsache, das Schönheit so gewaltig ist.
I just tried to add Petrychor earlier today, guess what? They rejected it right off due to lack of physical proof. I provided them with the website, I provided them with the album cover. Douche bags.
They would allow crappy metalcore + deathcore + generic non-sounding bands into their gathering, but they won't allow Djent bands because they aren't "METAL" enough - also, they have whiney vocals apparently. Now, that's just straight insult & very unfair that they take Core instead.
not really, the only stupid Djent band is the one that made it.
Apart from that, the newer Djent wave has a fist full of great bands - especially TesseracT.
Monuments, Periphery, Circles, Haunted Shores, Paul W, Textures (to some extent) are also notable.
Bands under Djent took Meshuggah's monotonous fuckstorm + groovey drives, elevated the whole thing to a whole new different level, added their own respective touches to it and made it worthy enough of being a genre itself.
@taxi911 Mushuggah may be terrible, but the bands inspired by it aren't much better. Granted, it's not as bland a monotonous, but it's still bereft of any decent riffs, the vocals are pretty mediocre, and the attempts at softer more melodic sections are pretty laughable. On that note, why are we discussing Meshuggah on a video for the godly Petrychor?
We are discussing Meshuggah because it was brought forth in the previous reply as the creator of Djent, and Djent was brought in as a rival of -Core garbage when I was talking to another person about how Metal Archives are now retarded & biased.
So far, I have found nothing laughable about Djent's. If those bands didn't make decent riffs, I wouldn't be listening to them. I'm more open to music and can differentiate between garbage & good, which is why I listen to Petrychor too.
@Blashyrkh22 Yeah, it took a while, it roughly coincided with the release of the full-length on a physical medium. Petrychor seem to have taken underground black-metal by storm.

Truly amazing EP. It has everything I ever wanted in atmospheric black metal.

Amazing band, but this only proves my point that BM would be so much better if the production wasn't so crap!!!!!!
madchoons 9 months ago
@madchoons Are you insane? The production is what gives it the atmosphere and bleak beauty. To clean this up would be blasphemy!
mrgrimviking 9 months ago
@madchoons the production made this song better mate. Alot of bands sound better without that sell-out tune of theirs. This is Godly.

@taxi911 Too true. I still use it as a reference for artists frequently, but I have lost a lot of respect for the site moderators.

@taxi911 Fair enough. To each his own, I suppose. Metal Archives is definitely moronic.

@Blashyrkh22 the people who run the archives are a bunch of elitists, some of the best bands out of all metal music aren't even on there
