Yes this guy made the video from scratch, the space station and the cloaked ship andf the two carriers arnt in the game that give you a hint.

The models are great but the whole thing seems abit dull? There's no sense of direction or point to it. Just like the game, it is a series of bits showing the great models but nothing more. There is no sense of excitement or story.

man, the X series were originally about "realistic" (sci-fi is never realistic, but yeah) simulation of outer space in future, and later on focused on property owning, trade and combat. The X series weren't made for the story, but for the gameplay

Ive seen the 3Dmax meshes. and the ships with the dual launch tubes are his own design as are the fighters. He recoded nothing from the game. The round space station with the rotating spires are his own design made for the video. As are the interior shots. Nothing is from the game all hand done.

Yeah this film is based on the game X2. My friend hand built the ships in 3d max he didnt import the meshes, he made em himaslf.

Good camera work, nicely directed clip.. However I'd not use the fog explosions as particle and mesh effects proved to be way better, also the robot is a bit too simple, but still a good clip so will give 5/5..
