  • I was overcome hearing the poignantly lovely voice of the lead singer and the well crafted harmony. Truly emotional and stirring. This is a treasure and we need more love songs made about nature. It is also a rare pleasure these days to hear a mandolin. Bless you. Tim

  • Bless You!

  • Thank you for the prettiest thing I've heard in a long time.

  • Beautiful song.

Performed beautifully, in such a simple and pure form. No pomp. No showing off. No ego. No trying to overwhelm or impress with singing extreme high notes and tricky or fast, flashy instrumentals.

    Just pure heart.

This is what real music is.

  • I was working through the contents of 1930's song book and this song stopped me in my tracks. Absolutely beautiful, I keep coming back to it time and time again.

  • Your more than welcome

  • A very nice tribute to your parents, well done. The tune sung here is not the one we normally associate with Flow Gently Sweet Afton but it is very nice nevertheless and conveys the message well.

I was President of New Cumnock Burns Club and helped to build the Cairn and picnic area shown in the video, so you have brought back some great memories for me. Thank you very much.

I also knew many of the Collins family from New Cumnock.

  • A beautiful interpretation. I used to sing this song at school many years ago and it's always stayed with me. It's a song deep in my memory and in times of trouble and stress I find it appears in my mind and always comforts me.

  • It is a lovely song isnt it.I love your Ben videos,he's a real character.

  • @mutherh me too that's why I've looked it up.
