We in Canada just don't understand how anyone would oppose a universal health plan... even though the Canadian medicare system is failing its people now, with private health care being thrown at us.
Please check out what Tommy Douglas - 1 of the founding fathers - had envisioned for his country, and the world. He also foretold that greed would bring it down.
Furthermore, you union folks would be better served by asking yourselves this: Exactly what have the unions done for you lately?
Hmmm -- they overpriced their labor and forced companies to move out of the country. I worked in safety & industrial hygiene and watched the unions absolutely kill the steel industry in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
What good is a high paying job that no longer exists? Ask your union leaders THAT question and then THANK THEM for totally SCREWING YOU.
Love this video. The sons and daughters of immigrants who built America, literally. Hard working, middle class Americans. They are the kind of people who believe that when you give someone your word it means something! The older guys in the video, I mean, think about it, what's in it for them to take the time and energy to go to Altmire's office. It's called integrity. And in Altmire's district, you can't tell me that he is representing the majority by voting no to HCR. That is bogus.
Altmire will be held accountable in November come election time.
