  • R.I.P From Algeria

  • @travanistmith dont talk shit when u dont know what u r talking about he was a hero of football for us and he will always be

  • They said he was shot ten days later in his home town. Why would u go back home? Go to america. Thats the last place youd get killed for that goal.

  • It's not a heart attack, it's Oscar Cordoba and he is living. He said he tried to turn back to catch the ball and this was his reaction seeing the ball going in the net. All the Colombian players were threatened with death after losing the Romania game. So you can imagine what was in all of these players mind at this match. That own goal was a shock for everybody in the team, and the worst was still to come.

  • team usa was like yay we got a goal when they should have been like oh no they are going to kill that guy....thank goodness americans do not take sports as serious

  • goalie was shot at 0:12

  • 0:12 heart attack

  • FIFA killed him, in my opinion FIFA should've cancelled the whole cup that year when the threats came up, If that was too much, they should just cancel that game...

  • 0:12 man down

  • RIP from Turkey. I wish 94 Colombian team had won that world cup for the people.

  • ''Andres'' all the wold is always in heart..

  • R.I.P.

  • This discouraged many great footballers of Colombia.

  • Its hard to explain to people now a days how huge and upset this was. Colombia hasn't really been a factor in the world cup scene lately but back in 94, with Valderrama and co they tore through qualifiers and favs to win the whole thing. Plus this is back when the USA well and truly sucked. They had qualified in the last game the previous cycle and were hosts this one and finished 3rd in their group.

  • En la expresion corporal del arquero y de Andres Escobar, se sabia que ese autogol significaba la muerte.

  • Andres u will always be remember RIP

  • @s1993j Columbia 1-2 U.S.

  • RIP Andrés Escobar one of the best defenders i have ever seen. We love you ! Life doesn't end here!

  • wow i'm all for Mexico but pobrecito especially because he died

but i'm glad Mexico never scored on themselves

  • what was the final score for this game?

  • i knew who andreas escobar was im 16 love my football and when i saw this the first time when i was abt 10 i was so sad my brother also told me he was killed coz of it not long ago there was a documentary abt him his son was watching the game on tv when he scored the own goal his son told his mum "mum there gonna kill him" crazy fuckers now i know it was colombians the football tehre was all run by mafia they killed him R.I.P

  • Sad to believe people take football so serious that they murder a man for his mistake

  • @KJT922010T football is the most influentual sport in the world an for many people in poor developing countries it is their way of life, but killing arguably on eof your best players ever to grace your country game over an own goal partially due to your bosses fucking up his and his teamates head by sending them death threats before the game and removing players in and out the team due to the getting notice and making money of of them after the world cup is ridiculous.

  • Diiiooss es terrible que una equivocacion le haya costado la vidaaa.... este suceso aun nos tiene indignadoooss... La vida esta por encima de tooodooo..

  • i heard they killed the goalie too?? is that true?? im not big on socce but from what i heard he was a awesome player and a good person. It sucks that ppl wanna bet big then get so butthurt they kill ppl over a screw up. The ultimate sore losers. RIP Escobar.. Im really sorry. im just 16 but my moms uncle was actually at this game and read in papers that He was tied with some gang drug lords

  • @seanman70 naah the goalie is alive

  • @GamerGarden oh ok. Yes soccer is the most influential sport in the entire world. and youre right about it bein one of the main reasons for ppl to live in other countries. But if you love the sport and you kill a great player because of a mistake, what kind of an impression are you going to leave on ppl who love soccer..Fear. i heard afterward there were some people on the team who quit. It can be the way of life, but shouldnt be worth more than a person's life

  • @seanman70 he wasnt killed by a fan, he was killed by thugs sent by their drug lord bosses due to the fact they lost alot of money in betting colombia to win the world cup since they were favourites and used escobar as a scapegoat. However due to those same druglords threatening and messing up the heads of the players, if that didnt happen colombia wouldnt of gone out and escabar would be alive. Also many players quit due to them receiving threats towards their family if they idnt play this way

  • @GamerGarden that's messed up

  • @seanman70 agreed

  • Comment removed

  • He didnt do it on purpose the ball was going in any way it was a last minute attempt to save the ball

  • Andres Cantor screaming goal is perhaps the best goal ive ever heard....

  • the goal keeper reacted as if he is shot dead :p

  • el gol que le costo la vida qepd

  • If Pablo Escobar would off been alive at that moment, he wouldn't let any one killed Andres Escobar, but because he wasn't, Colombia suffered.

    RIP Andres

  • Fucking Colombian cokehead fucks. How could you do that to somebody who plays for your country?

  • @TheWackadooFuckhead el era una persona decente pero que sabes tu de la decencia

  • @TheWackadooFuckhead Ok now your just stereotyping the country. Have some respect and learn that it could happen anywhere. gosh.

  • @TheWackadooFuckhead LOOK a s s h o l e I permit myself to say you, that your country also kills men carrying them to a stupid war and they don't consider i'ts a life and u can't make stupid generalizations he was killed by someone not by all colombians

  • @TheWackadooFuckhead why don't you shut up M A R I C A

  • it was very sad day , first they killed goalie then Andres

  • but y did he score an own goal? smh "rip"

  • He shouldn't have been taken away from us just for a mistake. RIP Escobar , from US.

  • he was such a wonderful man the people that killed him should just kill themselves

  • Its sad how it was a little mistake and that they killed him. He loved his country so much but they still killed him when he was actually doing his job it was actually to me nobodys fault that happened.

  • @airobinson3 His country didn't kill him. It was just a few people. Don't generalize.

  • @LiveLaughLove849 @Nattallia100 I didnt mean in it as his whole country but were they not from his own country?? yes they were thats why his nephew said they are going to kill him when it happened he even knew that the country was pissed at him and knew there were that few crazy people who would try to kill him.

  • @airobinson3 Yes, obviously many people in the country were saddened by it, but THE COUNTRY in no way tried to make him feel guilty. It was just some people, like you said. But this could have happened anywhere.

  • Comment removed

  • @LiveLaughLove849 there was alot of those few people in his country

  • @GamerGarden *a lot. And no actually it was just a group of people.

  • @LiveLaughLove849 actually at the time when pablo escabar died the country was flooded with wannabee gangbusters and drug lords hence the increased violence ..so their was a lot

  • @GamerGarden *there not their. And yes there were but they had nothing to do with his death. Like I said, it was just a few people that killed him.

  • @LiveLaughLove849 i dont mean a few who killed him literally i mean as in responsible and were the cause of his death, i thought that was quite obvious.

  • @LiveLaughLove849 -

Where did the people who killed him, come from?

The country allowed it to happen, someone is to blame.

  • @Imnotsaidaouita That someone may actually be the murderer, not the country, right? Your reason is just like saying it's America's fault because Michael Jackson was murdered by an American. That doesn't sound right now does it.

  • @LiveLaughLove849 don't be stupid you know most of the people in that country thought about killing him

  • @trevanismith Lol do you have any idea what a generalization is? Because you seem to be doing that...

  • @airobinson3 You can't make generalizations we may bet that you don't even know who killed him and now your saying his COUNTRY killed him

  • RIP Escobar from Egypt

  • Escobar's eyes said "That's me fucked"

  • @ThePhantomMajor

The guy was murdered pay some respect

  • RIP Escobar from Spain

  • Look at the keeper's reaction at 0:13 looks like he got shot xD

  • i have done similar as a defender, yo cant quite reach the ball and it goes in off your toe

  • @ufewl that's cause you're a NOOB :)

  • @berserker20008 well I certainly felt like one :O)

I was doing well up untill then and then the captain told me change what I was doing (keeping the player out wide) and bring the player inside, I followed his advice, but he laid the ball off to another player out wide who crossed the ball back in for him to score, I tried to cut it out he was bound to score if it didn't but iI could not quite reach it and it went in the net off my toe. My first and last game for the school team!!!

  • @ufewl I'm sorry about that man !!

  • Rip Escobar

    from USA

  • @LFCTraynor Of course they do, he shamed the Colomobian people in front of a global audience.

  • RIP escobar

    from sweden

  • Why people write such stupid comments, just think before you make a comment because you guys don't know what really happened with Escobar, did u know how many people assisted to his funeral? How can u say his own country killed him, is like to say USA killed Tupac, caused the suicides of kurt cobain, jj, jh, etc..

  • jajjaja golazo, se debe querer matar

  • i went to this game @ the rose bowl in 94'...great goal..USAUSAUSA!!i hope the worldcup returns to the united states someday!

  • @Q8379 It looked like he was trying to block it, Ricardo Orios error in 2010 was worst and dumber

  • Comment removed

  • @Q8379 People only deserve what they give out, and even then they should be forgiven where possible, and this was an accident.

  • Say what you want about young football players parents, and football, basketball, baseball fans alike here in the U.S.A....we kill ourselves reaching for foul balls and going naked to sub-zero games....we don't kill athletes for making mistakes...ask Bill Buckner!

  • @1daddy57 Bill Buckner was murdered and his remains incinerated. They just replaced him with a clone so nobody would notice. America does not forgive weakness.

  • It's just a game...

  • He died at age 27 he was about to marry his girl in a month......HOW sad is that???.....to kill some over football??..

  • damn, whyd they kill him 4 tht... common columbian drug lords...smh >_>

  • I love how the anouncer is saying goooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaal when the guy is laying on the ground dead

  • @coffee514 he didnt die on the field.. he was just in shock, he was murdered when he returned home to colombia

  • @coffee514 Looooooool you thought the keeper died!? hahahaha!

  • @coffee514

no one was dead wtf are you talking about?

  • RIP....

  • Colombia cries every time we see this. Cuz we think about the man who loved his country and the sport more than anyone in history...

  • For this, Colombia shouldn't be allowed to participate in a world cup EVER again.

  • @hndrxuntilidie Fuck you you fucker, we destroyed in that cup until this idiot scored, USA only goes on because all its players are foreign, fucking ignorant bastard

  • @milanindio67, You meant your momma, cunt. Why did you mentioned "USA?" Am I a fan of USA? No. Shut your bitchass up!!

  • @hndrxuntilidie I made sure you were, your profile says so

  • Nobody should have to lose their life over a stupid game...NOBODY!

  • @milanindio67 The sad thing is, even if Escobar hadn't touched it, the other striker would have got to it anyway...

Your a sad fuck if you can't get over an own goal that happened near 20 years ago.

  • So damn sad

  • Its sad that he played for his country and they killed him

  • @X64T thats what happens when a team is owned by and money laundered through them by drug lords

  • @X64T Somebody called Humberto did kill him. Don't be mean with us. Colombia expressed sadness and outrage when that murder happened.

  • @edanfox12 Colombia sucks to have not been able to protect him.. for if something like this happened where i live, it would be assumed so crackhead could be danger for him and give him security protection for as long as needed !

  • @geishathor you cant protect a young man who still wants to go out and live his life. he went out for a night on the town when he was murdered, and according to an interview with his sister, had a terrible feeling before heading out. he knew the risks of living there after the world cup, its still a terrible tragedy though

  • @edanfox12 it's a disgrace that he got murdered just over an own goal, and i can't believe that murderer has been released from prision, fucking drug mafia cunt bastards

  • I hope this man is in heaven playing futbol right now

  • 0:13, complete MW no scope head shot ..

  • @melseco2 too much call of duty man

  • His attempt to intercept a cross that would surely result in a goal was a split second late, thats why he died? What kind of animal would do such a thing...

  • he didnt deserve this

i just saw " 30 for 30 " on espn and colombia was devestaded

    RIP

  • Fuckkk how could they have killed him?? So unfair, we all make mistakes, sooo sad he was such an honorable person! He didn't deserve to die...

  • was Escobar a good player?

  • 0:12 goalkeeper was died

  • please don't kill me. i played for my country

    i exercise for my nation

but you kill me for my false, that i actually really i don't want

    (escobar)

  • RIP the world remembers you.

  • Nice finish to a beautiful cross.

  • sad how he gets killed later back in his own country for this... rip

  • When I look at this I get shivers its so sad that the that stupid fucker shot him just him this was a year before I was even born RIP Andres Escobar

  • Quite a few mobs were betting big money on that game.

  • Andres' death brought us Colombians many tears. Whether we're pure' colombian, colombian american, colombian British, colombian spanish, we all feel the pain of how he died...I have a poster of him in my room showing my pride for this man who loved his country and the idealist for what soccer could do for our country.

His legacy lives on with people who love their country known as Colombia and soccer as well.

  • Honestly this is sad to say but i think Columbia would be better WITH Pablo Escobar. And i dont think Andres Escobar would die either because if you watch ESPN The Two Escobars you would see they were friends. May Andres Escobar RIP. Life shouldnt be lost over this.

  • Its pretty sad how he died over a soccer game. R.I.P!

  • R.I.P.

  • You Were A Legend In Colombia And In Atletico Nacional. Its So Sad That If He Would Have Lived He Would Have Gone To A.C Milan After The World Cup.

    R.I.P Andres Escobar

  • I hate people who says: Hilarious

DUDES, HE GOT KILLED BY THAT OWN GOAL!!! STILL HILARIOUS???

  • Press "7" and it looks like a sniper took him out.

  • @PeytonManning2009 Thanks!! I didn't know you could do that!

  • Thats why Andres lost his life eh, can not believe fans would do that to there own superstar.

  • @road35 Not Fans.... Drug Lords had been betting, when he scored he was later shot!

  • @ihearpoo yeah your right about that.

  • 0:12 :)

  • Damn even back then USA sucked... they had to have the other team score one for them whoah!!!

  • wow you dirty south americans should be proud of what you did over soccer or football, a pussy ass sport to begin with

  • @SOLIDSNAKEXXX360 Do not talk shit without knowing what happened you piece of shit. Go walk around your trailer, smoke some pot before you go back in and fuck your sister. Goddamn cracker.

  • Comment removed

  • Damn Americans....

And mr nitro nat Shut The Hell Up, you ASS!

  • :/

  • he was a piece of crap just like pablo most likely so who cares u think he didnt have ties with pablo and what he did good riddens

  • @MrNitroNat Why dont you watch the docomantay called The Two Escobars and it shows that Andres didnt want to be friends or have connections with pablo

  • And the killer got 11 years only motherfucker!!!

  • QEPD Dios te tenga en la Gloria

  • it was sort of a stupid attempt but who is fucking retarded enough to shoot him messing up his own life too

  • its ok. GOD will punish the killer. may Escobar rest in peace in heaven.

  • just saw the espn special on the colombia influx of drug money that lead to the raise of there football n how Andres lost his life to scum lords

RIP Andres Escobar. ur words will live on!

  • @peraltaman haha i watched that too its a shame that scumbags like that would kill a man who represents his country

  • 0:15

It's just sad to see his face, he knew he did something bad, and he looked horrible because of that. Little did he know that he would end up getting killed for it. How horrible, just seeing his face at that moment is just saddening.

  • @AdmiralAwsomeful

looking at his face, i even think he somehow knew he was going to suffer very dearly for that own goal. stupid stupid colombian drug lords. he was their best player. talk about killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

  • yeah im watching 30 for 30 also right now..

  • @brianjayarsonal Pablo was dead when Andres got killed, had Pablo been alive the Gallon Brothers and their body guard wouldnt have done anything

  • I'm watching 30 for 30 on ESPN and they said the he was kill and he never saw his own goal. RIP Andres Escobar

  • Wow im watching 30 for 30 now and its kinda sadening

  • Fuck those people who killed him is was only a fucking game people are so mindless and take a persons own life.

    Rip andres

  • I thought he was killed because of some drug cartel business.

  • @UndergroundStru

watch "ESPN 30 for 30 The Two Escobars" You can find the whole thing on youtube. It's very good

  • @PRtoRP Yeah I watched it last year when it aired on TV, but I only caught bits and pieces and my memory kinda sucks. Wasn't it something about Pablo that got him killed?

  • @UndergroundStru

If he scored, he would've been killed by US Mafia, n if not then he would be killed by Colombian Mafia

  • If this didnt happen, colombia wouldve won. no doubt. but if they did I found out that there was a gang in the US that threatened to kill the colombian soccer team if they won. Lose-lose situation, damn man that sucks

  • Fuck whoever killed him!

    Damn him to hell!

Damn that piece of shit to hell!

He should be fucked in the ass by the long dick of the devil!

Fuck that fucking fuck fuck fuck fucking fuck to hell!

  • @brianjayarsonal pablo was already dead nobody thought it was him

  • R.I.P escobar! <3

  • Paul Robinson and Robert Green should have died numerous times by now...

  • @Ungermax7 you've said it, its sad to remember it happened 17 years ago, and at this moment the killer is free, its sad when you compare the same situations in other countries, but here everything is differente, people are so passionate..

  • That's so fucking sad. I can't believe someone would order the poor guy killed because he was trying to stop the ball. Was it Pablo Escobar that ordered the hit ?

  • @Silenced140 Many people say it was but honestly I real reason he got killed was just a bar altercation with some fans no one really sent a hit out for him it just a drunk altercation between the two. But Honestly Andres is a little dumb you know mad people hate you in colombia but he still went out to a bar in colombia he should left colombia till the tensions died down

  • @Silenced140 Pablo Escobar was already dead by then

  • @Silenced140 pablo escobar was dead when this happened, pablo was good friends with andres. they said if pablo was alive andres would have not been killed. people forget that when pablo died colombia got even worse with crime. you should see the espn 30 for 30 documentry called the two escobars it's a great documentry that tells how pablo helped colombia become a soccer powerhouse and when he died colombia has never been the same.

  • dicen los gringos que despues del partido escobar se hizo la pichi

  • this is why football is taken seriously

  • fuckin soccer

  • RIP Andres Escobar

  • Sure this was stupid, but who actually kills someone for it? And why did he go back to Columbia? He knew they would kill him
