yea i agree with kellyshoppach he shoppach is a better defensive player but victor is a much better offensive player... They should put vic at 1st and shop at catcher.
what the heck are you smoking man? Victor, aside from A-Rod, was probably the leading candidate for the AL MVP. He carried the Indians in '07, end of story. He lead all MLB catchers in HRs and RBI, lead the Tribe in the Triple Crown Category.
Might very well be remembered as one of the best backstops of all time by the time he hangs'em up. maybe you like Kelly, but don't let that dictate your judgement of an objective fact
oh really, well lucky you. i ain't from anywhere near Cleveland. i used to be in California, just moved up north to edmonton, alberta, canada a few years ago. not much passion for baseball here, in fact none at all. but yeah, i have been folowing the indians for some time, love their team chemistry, especially since vic and ryan came into the mix
also, i love kelly. i think he is the MVP of backup catchers, which is a damn valuable thing to have. not to mention the ShopVac's cult hero status. but vic literally strapped that team on his back and carried them most days. the epitome of that came in a series agaisnt the nats. the indians should've been swept. it seemed like they got one hit in the series, and it was victor's go-ahead homer in the late innings. i really thought that was a defining moment for that team, and for victor.
