  • ††† It's a special Night - I see God Everywhere †††

Can't you see it, in everything referenced in this song? The dreams, broken, hope - dying, dead...and resurrected.

    TheAngel . com

  • Bilbo Baggins!

  • Who is singing on stage? It is not "Mike Patton".

Did Mike Patton is voicing the singer on stage?

I wonder who's on stage, told me that it's "Mike Morris The Man", but this song is 1995, so I know ... So I suppose it's another person as Morris was no longer part of the band.

    Thanks for reading.

  • @hipnosreturn2 I'm pretty sure Mike Patton is the guy who gets kicked off stage at the beginning. "Wont you take me to Funky Town!" :D heh, heh. Not sure who the main guy is, but it's Mike Patton's voice he's miming to.

  • @hipnosreturn2 Its Mike Patton singing but the guy on stage is an english performance artist called David Hoyle. Mike Patton is at the start of the video, he's Michael from Barnsley.

  • @Kitty956 Thanks *___*

    You're awesome

  • OMG BILBO

  • Can't believe I'm thumbing down a FNM video, but this is crap, the people won't shut up.

  • @2pacsrevenge if you look in the links, theres a shorter version that has the speaking cut out. happy watching =)

  • in the best part of youtube again!

  • story of my life.

  • Is voice of the Mike? Some people are saying it is not the voice of Mike.

  • I want to hear this song singed by David Bowie. It coud be amazing.

  • funky town? goddam, that song sucked!

  • I don't understand whose song this is. Who sings this, what does this have to do with Faith No More? I Like the song and I want to know if this is the song Dickie and his mom sing in The Fighter. Will someone please clear these things up for me? thank you

  • @WRLDPCE3 It's the Faith No More version of the Bee Gees song. They even say that it's the FNM version in the video when announcing the song, As to the film I don't know, but either look at the film credits or google it :)

The Bee Gees version isn't half as good btw.

  • @steevmsteevm

hahaha "isn't half as good" YEA RIGHT

  • @WRLDPCE3 Yes its the song from 'The Fighter', origionally done by the Bee Gees, this version was done by Faith No More, its Mike Patton singing but a performance artist is miming on stage, the video was done this way as Faith No More had split up by the time it came out but Mike Patton is the guy who gets kicked off the stage at the beginning. Hope that helps.

  • at 3:26 he look like Voldemort

  • I really wish this band would make ONE MORE LAST FUCKING ALBUM.... Come on FNM

  • @Honeytrip420 have you checked out any of Mike Patten's other bands? he's got like 5 i think. and they are all good. Faith No More remains ly fave but i love the others too.

  • @KillerKwean13 Oh I have, Oh I have, I just wish Mike Patton would come up to Canada

  • @Honeytrip420 it's like no matter what he does in music it is amazing. lol.

  • I love this song...cheers!!

  • Derren Litten sent me here :D

  • This is just so redolent of 1980s British cinema. It's difficult to believe it wasn't from a proper film.

  • @MrSonofsonof

I keep on expecting Julie Walters to pop up somewhere with a big mop of curly hair.

  • oh, she loves youtube!

  • mulehead

  • So this is what happened to Pete from Dr. Who and Tim from The Office in a parallel universe!!!!!!!!

  • I really should be used to poignancy by now.

    :d*

  • The first time I seen this, I'm most certain pee came out. Everything Mike Patton has his hands on comes out is gold. Seriously, he made a Bee Gees song awesome...

  • Is the last sentence of the woman..."and I love YouTube"...???

  • @PATRICIONROSES LOLOLOLOLOL

  • @PATRICIONROSES clearly she said "and I love U2."

    duh.

  • wicked... and then 'ashes to ashes'!

  • Touching. Superb. A brilliant story in just over three minutes.

  • Scousers?

  • Super!!!!!!

  • Brilliant !!!

  • Faith no more did so many things right. Quite an exceptional band.

  • yo what is this pussy shit. i wuz expect something hardcore like megadeth or limp bizkit. this is pussy girly alternative emo not metal!!!! megadeth forever. They should change their name from faith no more to gay for always.

  • @smartbrutalguycore Don't use a nickname like that if your goal is trolling, you just gave it away

  • @smartbrutalguycore

FNM experimented with many styles. If you want metal, try Jizzlobber or Smaller and Smaller.

And please stop listening to Limp Bizkit... You're a half a step from becoming a Juggalo.

  • @smartbrutalguycore i THINK YOU ARE PROBABLY A LATENT GAY. sPLAY YOUR BUTTOCKS AND GIVE IN TO THE TIDE WITHIN YOU.

  • Oh my god. So many goosebumps. At first I was thinking this looks stupid. Then he threw off his jacket and omg my life was complete

  • so powerfull

  • That vieo suchs!

  • The speaking twats annoy me

  • Martin Freeman is in everything

  • i guess this is the best version ever .....

  • 111 people started a joke which started 3527 people crying :0

  • Mike Patton has a fucking amazing voice, one of the most underrated vocalist/musician around!

  • 111 people didn't get the joke.......

  • Bloody 'ell... great classic video. Thanks for this upload.

  • sweet, thanx u tube, thanx everybody

  • If he had a bigger nose, he could pass for HHH!!!!!!

  • not every band has Martin Freeman in theire video :D

  • giveme the rison

  • Bee Gees á la Bowie :-)

  • The music video for it was filmed on 8 September 1998,after Faith No More had split up, and featured none of the band members except for Mike Patton in a brief cameo as "Michael from Barnsley". It was directed by Vito Rocco, filmed by Nick Sawyer with make-up by Julie Nightingale and Dani Richardson and had Gabi Norland as the clapper-loader. British actors Martin Freeman and Shaun Dingwall both feature in the promo, along with performance artist David Hoyle as the karaoke singer.

  • @homerchrist

If I wanted to read the Wikipedia article on this song, I'd go read it, you fucking plagiarizing faggot.

  • @crazymiles Your mom called, she said dinner will be ready after I finish feeding her this . She's really disappointed in your inability to act like a big boy too, btw. 28 and youre a total douche. Sad . Nice of you to hit spell check so wikipedia is capitalized too. Youre a special kind of person, Stupid, irrational, homophobic and not hugged enough as a little emo. Dye your hair, slather on your eyeliner, cry because your different and put your fuckin mcdonalds shirt on and get to "work".

  • @homerchrist

ur an asshol3, but patton is lord...so I'll stomach your presence.

P.S. you spelled you're incorrectly, DICK!

  • @Mr8thAvenue No, I spelled it wrong for the context. Uh, you spelled asshole wrong. There , now we both need remedial English. Am I a dick or an asshole? Two completely different type of people. And for the record, I'm a dick.

  • @Mr8thAvenue No, I spelled it wrong for the context, but it was spelled correctly. You misspelled you're and asshole, because you'rE a 1337 speaker I guess. Mine was a mistake, easily made . You're just lazy and blatantly, willfully ignorant. Now we both need remedial English. Which am I btw, dick or asshole? Those are two different type of people. For the record I'm a dick.

  • @homo-christ

Since you love to nitpick, I will punctuate and spell correctly as you haven't the understanding to grasp the subleties of anything I said before.

    You're an asshole & a DICK.....so go fuck yourself.

You think everyone else posting here is a Bieber fan, when all we wanted was to appreciate a great fucking tune.

You're not the Patton encyclopedia, you just know how to copy & paste. I have google, I don't need your posts.

  • @Mr8thincher Dont read them, let alone take time to comment and start personally attacking someone because you have tiny cock syndrome. I'm not going to keep this going, I have better things to do than troll songs and keep shit going with a mental defunct like you. Im not a Patton anything but fan, never claimed to be. You pathetic internet tough guy, you go fuck yourself. You cant, 1/8" cock. I dont care who likes bieber, wtf is that? Get a hug, tell on your touchy uncle and stfu.

  • @homerchrist

    .

hahaha. Sandusky still loves you! you 40 yr old virgin

  • @homerchrist Thats so funny I never noticed that was him in the beginning thanks for that info, and i thought i was the Patton dictionary

  • So the joke is this isnt faith no more, and Mike patton isnt singing...?

  • david bowie is looking rough here...

  • whoever asked to which this video came from must be born yesterday..

  • fuck i love Mike Patton XD

  • This was a fantastic video. Deep thank-you to everyone involved. Funny, and creative.

  • So let me get it straight: the voice is that of Mike Patton, but the person singing on the video is not him, it's an actor?

  • @KillaHug yeah... David Hoyle

  • @KillaHug Straight as an arrow!

  • @KillaHug Mike Patton is the nerdy singer right before the actor takes the stage. The host calls him Michael.

  • Mike Patton is singing here.

  • Love the song, but the video sucks with those idiots talking over it. I'd spark them out.

  • I love this song . It's makes me feel love to one person .

  • The Bee Gees are beyond parity this particular song was written by them at tender age of just 17 along with so many other classic songs, other bands can just look on in awe of their talent and genius.

  • IT takes balls to get up and sing a song like this, bravo man !

  • that didnt sound like mike to me????

  • Why can't I buy this video on iTunes or Amazon or somewhere. I like this version as much as the original.

  • @dragontooth81 You are proof indeed that Snow White and Dopey did have a child, you have the fucking IQ of a sunflower!

  • @dragontooth81 You should continue to fuck chimps it may improve your childrens IQ, you vacous prick!

  • Sheldon's Father

  • this man must be some brother of nick cave... :)))

  • super smashin greart like, need more bands who'll let their music producers get away with anything then in my opinion

  • the reason why this is such an outta place faith no more video is... the band fucking hated each other.... and the producer was allowed to do whatever he wanted cause the band would not be in the same room with each other then..

i think the end result was fucking great!

  • i love the part where he owned the limeys

  • Resembles Ziggy Stardust !

  • I like it, I've always liked this song, in FTM version +1

  • I like this cover a lot. In the same row as the original. I bet David Bowie would make good cover of this song as well.

  • 1:46 OMG scary Joker face...

  • This Man has God given Talents, only a few, can ever Dream of having.

  • So is this like a music vid, or an actual movie?

  • 1:46 face

  • that does sound like Mike Patton

  • David Hoyle paints a perfect portrait of torment and self dissatisfaction and in doing so brings an otherwise great vocal performance (and in my improvement great interpretation of and improvement on the original) to a whole new emotional and aesthetic level.

    A's all round!

  • @uncleoddball

Dude you are 150% correct and very well said too. This is an awesome vocal performance, with David Hoyle's acting and the peanut gallery in the background with their side story, it's a perfect music video.

Shamefully this is the first time I've heard this song and I totally love it. Thanks Brainsaw for uploading it.

  • great quality for a vhs. patton is amazing.

  • what, for heavens sake, is the name of the film this is taken from?

jesus effin christ, it has at least two famous british actors, the "so I guess I'm not a gentleman" and hes girl (women) friend who gets the beer all over her? I cant remember their names. I would appreciate the info because I would love to watch that film.

and oh, yes - this on IS the best version of this song. FULL RESPECT to the bee gees, but some covers are god's true intention for a song, as it is in this case.

  • @Israellite1 "what, for heavens sake, is the name of the film this is taken from?" ... it isn't afaik! Just looks like one.

  • @brainsaw

I never said "fake" I said "film". so you are saying this is just a music video? not a part of anything?

    are you absolutely sure?

  • @Israellite1 afaik=As Far As I Know!! ... it'd be news to me if it were from anything - try looking up Martin Freeman's IMDB and that other bloke who I forget his name - hmm not very helpful am I? :)

  • @brainsaw

    actually you are

only I got back home yesterday around midnight, stumbled upon this song - which I shamefully admit I have never heard before outside Zoolander, and have bin trying ever since to find out.

Its a shame if this is just a music video of some sort innit? seems most unlikely

  • @brainsaw

    so that's it

"He also appeared prominently in the music video for Faith No More's cover of I Started a Joke" taken from wikipedia, but I guess you know all that already

anyways, thank you for uploading this piece, one of the greatest videos I have ever seen.

  • @brainsaw It is definitely a music video. done just after FNM broke down

  • @brainsaw It is definitely a music video. done just after FNM disbanded

  • @brainsaw this is no film it is a simple music video.

  • @brainsaw yep. this is the str8 music video. very famous (underground) performance artist lip-synching to mr. patton's vocals. mike is the guy at the start with the blue coat that gets ushered off stage. amazing video though, isn't it? xo ;)

  • @brainsaw Martin Freeman didn't change a bit during last 16 years. He's immune to elderly.

  • @brainsaw i recognised Martin Freeman, and I think the girl in the blue is the lady who played the shopkeeper from shameless??

  • @Israellite1 its the official song of the video,

michael from barnsley at 0:15 is actually mike patton

  • Comment removed

  • @Israellite1 The music video for it was filmed on 8 September 1998,[7] after Faith No More had split up, and featured none of the band members except for Mike Patton in a brief cameo as "Michael from Barnsley". • @Israellite1 I know that there is a version of this song at the end of the movie "Penn & Teller Get Killed". If that helps at all?

  • @Israellite1 This is just a music video. It's not from any film... This video was filmed after faith no more had split up.

  • @Israellite1 This is just a music video. It's not from any film... This video was filmed after faith no more had split up.

  • @Israellite1 of course its just a video... what kind of shitty movie would this scene be in. just think of the context of the scene, not movie worthy.

  • @tomtutton

that is only an opinion. I don't understand why you made it.

It could have been a scene from many british films, and those ARE a top of the line well known british actors, and generally speaking most british films are much better then most of the crap hollywood produces.

the last one is also an opinion.

  • @Israellite1 This is a music video for this song.... and obviously Michael from Barnsley is Mike Patton

  • @Israellite1 I think the TV series is "London's Burning" i'm about 70% sure

  • I never knew this was a Bee Gees cover! :p

  • please talk me someone, what`sname this movie?

  • @aphtsiauri it's not its a music video, it's faith no more without mike

  • Someone said about the Bee Gees you can't change their songs much and this proves it.

  • 99 people didn't get the joke.

  • damd that was the most fucked up shit ive ever seen

  • isn't that miriam's wedding?
