WOW. Dude...this biased video is an inaccurate reflection of what really happened on the 29th. It seems like everyone's hating on REM. I got news for you. REM fucking rocked the house, and you really missed out by leaving early. If you're going to leave REM shows early, just do us all a favor and don't go at all. The sound was off at the beginning of REM's set and then they turned it up and changed some things and it was great. A fucking incredible show. Oh yeah, Modest mouse sucked major ass.

I am glad you enjoyed the show. All I am saying is that I go to a lot of concerts and thought it sucked. I tried getting people to stop and say nice things about the set but it was difficult, so I decided to stop wasting my time on R.E.M and left-ytc

WOW-I love the "R.E.M. didn't play the hits" girls. I've got news for the "too hip, too indie" girls--R.E.M. paved the way for YOUR darlings, Modest Mouse. You guys need a better cross section of people in your videos. I saw this guy outside the bowl asking for a free ticket and then he leaves early?! R.E.M. kicked ASS. The National was VERY good. Modest Mouse was good/ok-they didn't interact with the crowd and their performance was very ego-centric. R.E.M. showed them how it was done!

this will be my 3rd time to see MM and to see the national. not impressed with the live modest mouse shows, although several of their albums are great. saw the national at ACL last year and at coachella a month ago, and they rule live! 1st time to see r.e.m., which i am really looking forward to.

the two women at the 6 minute point of this video are annoying as f--k!!

The National, then Modest Mouse, then R.E.M. Modest Mouse played for about an hour. I've seen R.E.M. many times and the Hollywood Bowl show was probably the best--they are playing 25-28 songs per show (about 2-2.5 hrs). Tight sets, with a nice mix of old and new songs (only a couple "radio" hits, if you will). Very engaging and talkative with the audience--you can tell they are enjoying themselves. I'm jealous you get to go--have fun!!!
