Fun fact: When this was recorded Michael had left Hairspray and Phil was playing Edna - But you can clearly see that Michael is the one that does the best job with the moves.
I haven't seen Phil as Edna live, but saw a clip here on youtube from some event - I didn't think he did so good.
Anyway: No one is better than Michael in that role!
@06s091 I think Phil was barely in rehearsal when they taped this and Michael had been Edna for almost 2 years. But yes Michael's a star. As far as I know Phil has never trained as an actor, singer or dancer - so I like to think he's doing a pretty sweet job considering.
@patebrisee Phil was doing Hairspray at this point. Noel Fielding says earlier in the show that he had seen Phil as Edna in Hairspray, and that he(Phil) makes quite a woman... But yeah, of course Michael had been doing it for a long time, and you are right about him being a star! ;-)
