Germany's losses attacking the UK would have been so substantial within just a few years, that Stalin would have simply invaded Germany at its weakest point and taken over all of Europe. So he tried a land invasion instead, correctly rationalising that its easier to reinforce and supply than if it all has to go over miles of ocean first. The US/UK knew this also, which is why D-Day didn't happen until late in the game.

Saddam was unfeasible as an Iraqi ruler for the simple reason that he was fucking with US oil supply, and in 2003 decided to start trading his oil in Euros instead of dollars, which cuts into American trade profit significantly. US captured and now control 81% of formerly Iraqi oil wells, and maintain labour unions as illegal in Iraq. Imperialism.

@animesis I think Hitler didn't have much choice but to invade the USSR. Germany's losses attacking the UK would have been so substantial within just a few years, that Stalin would have simply invaded Germany at its weakest point and taken over all of Europe. So he tried a land invasion instead, correctly rationalising that its easier to reinforce and supply than if it all has to go over miles of ocean first. The US/UK knew this also, which is why D-Day didn't happen until late in the game.

Bolton is right in that the aims of the war succeeded; the interviewer assumes the objectives of the US were moral. It was a simple war for resources. Saddam was unfeasible as an Iraqi ruler for the simple reason that he was fucking with US oil supply, and in 2003 decided to start trading his oil in Euros instead of dollars, which cuts into American trade profit significantly. US captured and now control 81% of formerly Iraqi oil wells, and maintain labour unions as illegal in Iraq. Imperialism.

What a load of shit this guys is. He talks about the Iraqi people having to learn to live together, like bunch of rats. The Iraqi people have lived as a civilisation achieving so much long before this bit of garbage could even look back his History. At least he talks the truth, that US dosn't give a shit about the future of Iraq but there own short term self interests.
