Nissan should have had a consensus on the grille before making a decision to produce the 2009 Max in this fashion. What's the deal with you guys bashing the Japanese cars? I'm an American too, and I wish that domestic producers were half as talented as the Japanese in designing quality efficient engines. You can easily push a maxima engine above 300k if you know how to correctly maintain an engine...
You can do that with a domestic engine too, but it'll cost you thrice as much (or more depending on the engine, and considering parts).
Interesting design from Nissan. The changes make the car look more european and less american. I think now Maxima looks quite a lot like a german designed car but it still has many characteristic Nissan signs, for example the thinner front grill and lights that remind me a bit of Nissan Skyline. I'd be interested to see the rear before I say more though.
Maxim-ugly.. its a shame because I liked the older maximas.
