Actually, Rick Del Castillo is Robert R's guitar teacher. RR has improved vastly since 2004 when he played with them at SXSW, but he also now doesn't try to keep up with the brothers- few can. RR knows who the musicians are up there- maybe you all should stop arguing about it?

It is possible that they're playing it in a different KEY signature than what you "know" it. If you knew anything about music, you would know that (a song can be played in different keys depending on the performer or group). The guitars may also be tuned to modulated chords. This is, after all, a rock arrangement of a mariachi piece.

And for "his strum being off," the video and audio get of sync because of the compression rates and the crappy recording equipment (no offense to r0b3rt00).
