  • suth america and north america are the same the only thing that change its our mind and the way we see the world and the only criminal mind are the goverments of those coutrys they love to keep the people ignorant so they use then better

  • the real problem is the crackheads in the US.. most of the crack goes to the U.S. funding the rebels and craeting a goverment instability all because some crackheads want to get high

  • The real problem is the War on Drugs, dumbass.

  • How is The war on drugs The problem

  • Wow really? The War on Drugs is the problem because THIS is the War on Drugs. This a problem, ergo the War on Drugs is the problem. If coke was legalized and the industry, controlled by the government controlled the market the rebels would have absolutely nothing to fall back on. They would not be able to compete and would be crushed with a single political reform, not more soldiers or attacks resulting in death and violence.

  • Legalizing coke would hurt the rebels, but it would hurt society even more, its already a challenge controlling Alcohol, so legal coke would be devastating

  • How would it hurt society even more? We already know that since coke became illegal its use has actually increased. It has a huge profit for the black market because it is sold WELL over production cost due to high demands. If drugs were legalized, it would put a huge dent in gangs and mafias leading to less violence. Also a decrease in corruption and disaster drug raids would be nearly non-existent.

  • Colombian government is a puppet of Washington.

  • There is no more time for blaming entire groups of people (nations) or inanimate objects when complex problems arise.

The wise need to start looking for sufficient answers; not who to blame for the issues as they are presented.

From Palestine to Somalia, the problems continue only because we choose to wrestle with who to blame and not how to alleviate the problems. Examples of stupid men playing politics with misery and getting only both in return.

  • It is much easier to "blame someone" afrircans1970. To do otherwise would mean that people would need to take "responsibility"

  • part of the sufficient answer is to find out what the causes of the problems are to understand what needs to be done in order to stop the problem from continuing. sometimes this shows that aggressive governments and companies are to blame. the only way to solve the problem is to make sure that the parties creating it take responsibility and stop their hostile acts. problems have context, you cannot just look at one part isolated from the entire context and blame people for reacting to aggression.

  • for example, the palestine conflict is constantly presented by western media, and all western politicians, as israeli response to rockets. they blindly look at the occupied palestinians and blame them for everything, and claim that they need to take responsibility for rocket fire. in this case, the western definition of "responsibility" is deaths of innocents, assassinations, terrorism, brutal occupation and apartheid.

  • as long as the west ignores the consequences of its support for occupation, which is the root cause of the hatred and rocket fire, and refuses to take responsibility and alter its actions, there is no way to solve the problem.

  • I find it sad that in order to fight a social "problem" that is based on the simple market demand of a luxury item such as cocaine, the world is ready destroy a PLANT that is sacred to a whole culture of andean people.

  • While cocaine may be a "luxury item," highly adulterated versions of it abound which are cheap, easy to come by, and cause untold misery, suffering, and even death to thousands of poor people worldwide. Your sweeping statement that "the world" is ready to destroy this plant is inaccurate. Peruvian President Alan Garcia acknowledges that coca is important to the Incas and allows a small amount of legal coca cultivation for this purpose, while disallowing the manufacture of cocaine.

  • sure, gatorgirl, but people who put anything up their noses (highly adulterated versions of an uncontroled substance) should be aware of the risk of dieing.

and by "the whole world" of course i exaggerated. im sure youre wrong when you say "small amount of legal coca".. i think its more like medium ammount. get my drift?

my problem is with "free countries" trying to resolve their own problems by destroying plants in the other side of the globe.

  • The whole world has double standards. Do you expect poor people to just die quietly? They are trying to get food and medicine for their families and until anybody solves their problems nothing will work in Colombia, Afghanistan or anywhere else.

  • or even just allowing themselves to solve their own problems, but aid and reparations are definitely due to the areas that have suffered from US terrorism and war aggression.

  • the only thing that funds rebel groups is the unjust treatment of the poor , and the jewish /U.S.A war pig that feed on the misery of the same poor,,,,,, fck u olo

  • All are bad(accept the coca), both are addicting and should be eradicated or regulated better.

  • Why is it that American can sell genetically engineered foods, high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, preservatives, McDonalds... but Columbian can't sell coca or cocaine?

  • It's amazing that you can not see the difference between McDonalds and an narcotic like cocaine.

  • true, lol.

  • @proteanview Cause the American government are extremely greedy and dont give a shit about their citizens. Just in it for themselves...its pathetic

  • @proteanview Very good point!

  • @proteanview move along, don't ask questions

  • @proteanview because the old people at the top need everyone to die before they do...
