I just dont understand how artists can draw straight and smooth lines when my lines are like sketching all the times.

Yeah, I can draw, sure... But how come others can draw smooth one line anime? Is there a tool for that or something?

I bought a wacom 12wx tablet off ebay and I'm only about three weeks into using it. It's pretty awesome but yea, so far I can not color this good lol. Which sucks since my sketching is pretty damn good. Hardest part is the damn skin tone. Maybe I am color blind but it's hard to get the right color palette. She's good!

good job! I don't totally agree on the "needing talent" part tough. If you are really interested in drawing you WILL learn how to do it, even if you started with making stickfigures.

Most people who claim they have no talent just aren't interested. at least... that is how I see things.

@chronichedgehog ummm usually photoshop you just have to have a steady hand (it comes with practice) if you want to get a image on ps there is import near the bottom of the file menu. usually people draw with the brush setting on 5-8 it depends on how thick you wants your lines... do you have a tablet? they are extremely helpful

@chronichedgehog A lot of artists have digital tablets and/or digital art pens that connect to the computer. They use the tablet to draw on the computer (not literally). For example, you can draw on a piece of paper right? And the pen marks appear on the sheet of paper, but it's not the case for a tablet. For a tablet, when the art pen touches the surface of the tablet, the marks won't appear on the tablet, but on the computer screen instead.

@L3ONARDO07 There are many type of digital pens, but I highly recommend buying an art tablet instead. Especially from the company Wacom. They sell great art tablets! I'm not so sure if Wacom sells digital pens though. You should check. I have used a digital pen before and have a Wacom tablet in my possession. In my opinion, I would rather go with having a tablet instead.

The tablet will connect to your laptop and will be able to draw on online drawing sites such as Paint.net and Photoshop. And the wacom bamboo pen tablet will have some photoshop software discs for you to download too.

@Mellenzz95 The fact that she can she can draw amazing pictures, doesnt have to do anything with being animator so i dont why why the suggestion, animators usually dont do nothing, but animate, they dont even draw any kinds of pictures, and even when they do, those are certainly NOT anime, since that is a very stylized way of drawing and unless you are working doing an anime, it is pretty much useless. : )

Want to become an animator? study the form, and its movement.

Besides, I'd like to be an animator too when I'm older, it's quite kind that you're calling everyone's ambitions as an animator 'useless'. And anyway, she/we may draw anime but that doesn't just mean we want to be an animator because of that, it may be because we love art skill and would like to put it to some other uses too. Do your research before commenting :)
